while 99 percent of my portfolio did worse at DS than sedo, most names lost traffic and revnue, could be I switched while they were in the middle of new optimization, I dont no.most of my names made a penny a click and some less than a penny. But having said that I have one name at DS that looks like
it is on track to earn 500.00 dollars a yr at DS. It was only making about 20 dollars a yr at sedo. It only gets a couple views a day but 500.00 dollars a yr for life was well worth the effort of trying them out. In a month or 2 I will give another try, like I said I switched names during their new page layout and that could be the problem. But 30 or 40 names earning same income and I wouldnt have to work ever again

30 to 40 names earning $500.00/year is only $20000.00/year. Am I missing something here?

You do realize that if you have a domain name that is on track to earn $500/yr., then that equates to just $41/mo. Unless your calculator is different than mine, $41/mo. multiplied by 40 domains generating the same income, is approx. $1666/mo., which is still only $20K/yr......and you would never have to work again?!?!?!

I am retired Air Force also. But at that rate just having 15 or 20 names as opposed to 20 years of service with all the family seperations and moving every 2 years, the domains are definately easier way to go. Also my wife works

I tried Sedo in 2003 and didn't make hardly any money so I dumped the whole PPC thing. Started back in middle of 04 with Fabulous, same thing. Late Nov/early Dec I signed up with DomainSponsor and have never been happier. Yes, during the holidays I had serious fluctuations in earnings but ever since the new year it has been going up and I am happy. Thanks DS.

I find that DomainSponsor does really well with some names, and Sedo does really well with others. For lots of my low click domains it doesn't seem to really matter, but it is definitely worth trying all of the major PPC services for high-click domains. Sedo definitely seems to do better for me if the domain has both U.S. and European traffic, but Domain Sponsor seems to do better overall. I also like Domain Sponsor's new control panel. I don't like the fact that they now have a 2-click model where none of the actual links appear on the landing page.

Best of luck to you fatter, and I do hope that you continue to receive the returns you anticipate. Thanks for the explanation you posted above, in response to my inquiry. :eek:k:
