Microsoft just had its most profitable year ever. I think Apple, too.

Prediction is very hard to do, and usually wrong. Mostly, markets just fragment into different market areas,
and if they are each large, then they are each an opportunity.

the Android tsunami isn't a prediction but, simply, what's happening now

ChromeOS will beat Windows because it will be free while Win7 costs $100+

There are lots of free things that dont destroy the expensive ones. Linux is an os, why doesnt it destroy windows?

android and chrome are for small devices. thats all. windows is huge, amazingly huge.

neither of these are enterprise class operating systems, so no.

thats still the biggest and most profitable segment of the market and MS isn't going to lose their grasp on it anytime soon.

that said Google will continue to pursue the enterprise segment, they just have a looooooong way to go. apple on the other hand seems fine sticking to the consumer segment.

ChromeOS is a nonstarted. Its late, and getting later. There is no reason for this OS, Android will own the low-end device.

Android (and soon ChromeOS) ALREADY OWNS great part of the low end devices with million of low cost (as low as $130) Android smartphones sold this year and many other million in the next years (at much lower prices) so I think that Android will be installed on 90% of ALL new $0 to $1,000 phones within two years!
