IDN whois - where to check?

Hi, anyone know where to check IDN whois? And should i type the punycode or the original text when searching?

have tried but it always says 'time out' and not showing any details?

You should be able to do a WHOIS lookup (I use www.coolwhois.com) on the punycode (xn--whatever.com). If it times out, then it is most likely the registrar - in which case you should have better luck going to that registrar's whois lookup.
