Insults? No, i don't buy that, he just want to see the real stuff - you know, real stuff, but nobody is going to show their real stuff.

So, he can wait, but the wait is going to be tough as the party's over, Google breached $500, and everyone's being squeezed. Last check, my views up 9% month to date against last mth's, but Google still squeezing on payout, avg PPC down 12%, so overall still down.

Only established buyers get to see complete listings.

I would distrust his motives, so he wouldn't get to see mine.

We are getting close to the point where anonymity rather than publicity will be the goal.

As for Google, I think you are making a lot of assumptions. Advertising is seasonal so month by month comparisons are not very reliable. I guarantee you PPC will be up in December for the run up to Christmas.

What argument, duckie? The fact that mr wiz NEVER posts a domain that he owns but he feels secure in his anonymous cowardice to smear my name and post crap?

Anonymous cowards like him have some deeper issues. Maybe he was not breast-fed as a baby.

As for you, you're beyond repair.

Your concern is deeply touching, but if it ain't broke don't fix it.

Lets use Japanese for example. Check DNJournal..... prices have gone up alot. Last year they were selling on IDNF for $200-500. Now the good ones are selling for mid $x,xxx minimum with it predicting to soon go to $XX,XXX and higher. Its a great investment to turn a $7 domain into something like this. I don't get this kind of return at the bank.

That is great. Question is, MOST of those are RESELLER to RESELLER aka SPECULATORS. Once your end users come along.... then we will be talking.

Big companies are already starting to use their own names. They clearly understand the basics behind IDN. True there is little evidence of them moving to secure generics, but they will. As most navigation is done by search in the Far East at present, the importance of domains that match the search terms to get best SEO results will soon be apparent to all except the most inept.

You think you'll be able to pick them up for cheap once the end-users come along and start generate substantial revenues?

I think most of these guys just think we are babysitting these domains for them until they condescend to undertake the responsibility of the renewals.

No, i think he didn't mean for cheap - he meant that once end users come along, he'll be willing to come out with the market price.

It's funny, but many people rather pay $xx,xxx than register for $7 bucks three years before.

Actually alot of the Korean drops on snap have had either a native person from Korea win the name or fierce competition against an American winner. The last few whois show native people from Korea.

The way the dollar is going that could easily turn into a one sided contest!

This whole thread is a bit crazy. You have people who are working, living, & in online industries in various countries where IDNs will be used that are just trying to relay to people that if interested IDNs would be a wise investment.

Domains especially generics are based on Name Value. I met with one of my Japanese associates last night here in Tokyo who is a former stock broker.

Japanese corporations won't need PPC specs, they won't need to see rankings for the domains.

They'll need to know just a few things.
Users cans access the domains which will happen after the majority of users upgrade to Vista.
Users can access the domains through their phones AU (Mobile carrier) has already starting making all their new phones IDN compatible.

After that it's going to be all about name value. Companies are realizing that even with SEO customers see their closest competitors.

Native domains are the easiest to remember for Japanese.
They aren't used yet solely because of browser support.

By summer 2008 I'll be posting videos for you guys of the trains ads with
IDN domains.

Companies also are going to purchase domains to prohibit competitors from having better marketing assets.

I could care less if people convert, just realize many are giving valid facts.

IDNs won't be used, or IDNs are worthless is an opinion
Technology companies in Japan already have & are moving towards being IDN domain friendly is a fact.
