dwrixon said:bottom line is that it really doesn't have a commercial angle and frankly isn't really brandable as it implies fake. A Gem has sharp edges, where is the edge to this?
diverge said:I agree with GD -- this domain would be a great name for designer knock-offs. It's confrontational and catchy. Think "posers", "fakers", "imitators". This otherwise "negative" word has a brandable appeal, and unlike the other words above, includes the connotation of indistinguishability from the original (IMHO).
dwrixon said:... it is worth remembering that are problems with trademarking such words.

byalik said:Thanks GiantDomains, you are right in the best uses for it as that was my intention to sell designer goods on it. Actually I just got the name after having it in escrow for the last 10 days because of slow registrars. Anyways there are a lot of sites using imposters in their name like impostercity.com, imposterwear.com, etc... Average of these sites make $10,000 a month selling just sunglasses. Anyone selling handbags, wallets, watches, sunglasses, etc.. all on one site probably make in excess of $25,000 a month profit like fractionprice.com
Thanks for the appraisals
