talking about the sale on the forum is probably what made the deal flop... I would have waited and closed the deal and then talk about it, someone in your position is being watched by thousands of domainers, maybe someone tipped them off!
What are some of the names you've sold for $1,000 that were listed on dn forum for $xx?I've re-purchased about 30 domains sold over the years and allowed to drop... some in the mid $x,xxx range.
This is a very strange business. I also post lists of domains for sale in the mid $xx range every so often, and I sell a few but not a lot. But almost every time I do this I sell one of the names ON THAT LIST for about $1,000 (and me scrambling to remove it from the sale list here).... which means every single DNF member missed the value -- further proving there is no such thing as a "domain expert".

My story is I sold a name to a buyer, and I got it back from backorder, then he ask me to sell to him again, so I sell again at the same price. Then after another year, he gives the name back to me for free, and i sold it again to another buyer. Triple sold = epic win.
