I just called Markey's DC office, they were very helpful , knew of the bill and were also suprised at the footdragging of Neustar and will pass my "concerns" on to the representative

thats great! i email both congressman where shimkus help in the law i would figure he would have the directory link on his home page ,,,,,,,,,-

I received info from neustar that many sites are indeed in que and that they will start appearing in the directoly shortly.

Also informed that alot of people are screwing up their appliccations (websites) by including such things as outbound links , thereby putting those back into que..

So ..if info is good.. the "soon" the directory will start filling up..

Excellent!! I plan to have "Sponsor.kids.us" submitted to the directory for review hopefully in the next couple of weeks.

One thing to think about. These names that are listed first in the directory will get "free" publicity. You would never have another opportunity like this to "brand" your site, especially to the kids who for all practical purposes will be forced to visit your site. Just like all adults who want to visit a porn site will have to go to .xxx to get their fix. The writing is on the wall...

note: I may not be "typing" in smithsonian.kids.us every day, but I am thinking about their site! :-D
