Latest DS announcement: Good or Bad?

I'm waiting on an account @ hitfarms; which I can't wait for in light of these DS changes..... didn't think I would EVER consider using a PPC sponsor other than DS since they do so well (have a premier account) but if todays peformance is anything to go by I'll be looking around for sure.

personnaly I think a landing page like Sedo and our ability to put in initial keyword, then where it would differ from sedo is the ability when a search is performed to optimize.

Yeah, I waited also 1 month or more for my domains do be approved.

Yes I got my account, and yesterday got my domains also approved.
Out off my 400 domains 23 where not approved, TM -issues.
Anyway I am writing with Don by email, he has been always very fast with his replay. About revenue - I can`t tell yet.

: ) Perhaps hitfarm will be the competition that DS needs. It will only take a few cases of sizable revenue increases to be reported for a few porfolios and the migration will begin. But it appears hitfarms manual approval process, geographical locale, lack of a public site, will keep a lot of us on the sidelines for now. Much more testimony will need to be given, payout history etc.... They have some of the best portfolios using those result pages already so something good is happening. We just arent all privy to it. Its somewhat of a secret society right now. gricks even started using them.

Well yesterdays revenue was fine, but todays revenue isn't looking very promising so far....

To tell you the truth, I'm not suprised seeing as how the new landing pages look.... exactly how are "portal pages" going to mke us more money? I mean, all the one click links are gone & now all the pages pretty much have portal pages... only difference from a portal page is basically they have the optimized categories up the top.... why not just havr optimized categories? What's the point of trying to confuse the user with too many links (aka a portal type page).

I know it's early, but I'm not happy with the new pages or my revenue so far.

Saturday and Sunday traffic and revenue are usually poor for most names. We wont be able to tell how this is working until the end of the day Monday, at the earliest.

Hitfarm has already asked me to review their site, but they still are working out some things. We talked about me trying them out in March or around then. They are using Overture feed and each name has to be reviewed by Overture for TM issues.

I am sure that 2 or 3 years from now, we will look at all of today's PPC pages as rather unsophisticated and boring. We are just in the early days of this industry.

cyphix .. I think they mean that good converting traffic will be rewarded more and crap traffic will not do as well. IMO

Correct...the last time they made an annoucement like this my revenue jumped more than 15%. However, if you crappy traffic, you may experience a decrease.

As I said before, it will be late Monday before I can tell how this change has really affected my DS earnings. However, yesterday was pretty good for me for a Saturday. Any time a PPC service makes a change like this, it will make a difference in different ways for different domain portfolios. This might improve things for most portfolios, but there still could be some that will be hurt by the change.

Today has been absolutely horrendous. Revenue is down almost 20% from a "normal" sunday. I can't wait until HitFarm accepts my application.

weekends are always a little slower than weekdays. Mine are pretty darn consistent when I look at weekends only.

My stats have recovered to a normal level. Maybe it was just a update glitch.

This is what I noticed last night. At 9pm PST my uniques and revenue were same as 12:30pm PST ...I thought maybe this would get resolved somehow by this morning..Today's info has started to get posted however yesterday's uniques and revenues are still same. Which is impossible because some of my domains peak out at around late night. (Oh, and by the way, I did every now and then check my domains and they were resolving, no problems whatsoever). I noticed this on Friday as well but I didn't care much since it was only minor..Last night was just outrageous..3 hours and no stats ?!!!

I suggest everyone to keep a note of their stats every hour and notice what it is doing.

Also, I have been comparing awstats to DS and it seems like they are eating a chunk of uniques. I have no idea what is going on. Hopefully something for the better. So far Stats for today have updated but then I have only noticed for 2 hours.
