I just read where MarketIVA.mobi sold at auction on Sedo for $95,000. http://www.dnforum.com/showthread.php?t=204423

what do you suppose I could get for these?

MarketIVAs.mobi
IVAMarket.mobi
IVAMarkets.mobi
IVAMarkets.com
MarketIVAs.com

These may have potential

IMHO I'm not sure how much these are worth :undecided: but I have noticed there is a huge market out there for IVAs ;)

http://www.google.com/search?q=iva&sourceid=ie7&rls=com.microsoft:en-US&ie=utf8&oe=utf8

.....I'm sure the one's I've JUST picked up a few seconds ago are worth more than Regfee...

What I want to do is contact the 2nd highest bidder who lost out on MarketIVA.mobi. Does anyone know how I would go about that? Thanks

You should start a new sedo auction for your MarketIvaS.mobi:)

Thanks....that's probably what I will do later but for now I had much rather contact those 2 auction bidders who were unsuccessful in getting MarketIVA.mobi. Hopefully I could make a quick sale by selling for a little less money.

I honestly think those have no reseller value, your best chance is to contact the buyer of the original domain , but usually I would think that if a buyer would be interested they would have bought those before bidding on the other one...

I'd tend to agree with you there domainah, if they were spending so much money getting one domain they would at least have covered their arses by looking for the obviously unregged $30 for 2 year domains first!

Which then would raise the questions:

1) Is this for real?

2) If the buyer finds out about these, will he drop the sedo auction (since sedo don't go after non paying bidders as they are fools!!) and come looking for the cheaper option.

3) Is the buyer, for want of a better word stupid? He had a month to secure similar domains before the sale was announced for just this reason!

Yeah i agree with that.
I'm all for flipping domains, but have some patience, the paint's still wet! lol
Noone gets that much money without some brains.
(unless you're Paris Hilton  )
Surely they would have regged one of them?
The marketivas.com is a typo though, a good one.
wait & see if you get some traffic? then wait see if you get some offers in the next few months, then maybe approach sedo to broker.
you'll need a few things to fall right though to make decent money on these though imo.
cheers

All of those are really good questions, and believe me, I gave these questions a lot of thought before I registered these names. I really can't understand why the auction buyer (and the other 2 guys bidding) didn't check out these other names before they placed those high bids.

What made up my mind to grab these was when I found out about the IVA market being so big and its growing like wildfire, especially in the UK. And that's why I would have to disagree with domainah there is no reseller value. If not now I believe there will be before long.

In the UK it's known as an IVA (Individual Voluntary Arrangement/Agreement) Where you hand your financial matters over to a law firm who will in turn contact the finance companies you owe to reduce your debts and to arrange a payment plan, basically it's a last ditch attempt to save yourself before the debt collectors come round for your stuff! I don't know where the Market part of IVA came from????? But i've never heard the term market iva before i thought it was one word marketiva as it looks spanish or something!!! LOL!

Laird: We know what it is -- but on a .mobi domain? This market is getting a little senseless although I agree the primes are worth the investment. You don't enter into an IVA on a mobile phone.

Well we may never know what happened with the sale, i will for one be watching for DNjournals report but unfortunately i think this one looks quite fishy considering they haven't even tried to cover themselves yet having ample time to do so, but if it goes through on the other hand dmtalk you've got a couple of gems there! And you may get a nice offer for them in the very near future when they realise what they have missed.

But i personally wouldn't put my financial future on the line through a mobile website, I'd rather talk to an adviser face to face, it has been said that an IVA is worse than going bankrupt!

But best of luck to you dmtalk!!

Thanks...I appreciate it. I still don't know how the UK IVA is related to www.MarketIVA.com, who, I assume is the company that bought MarketIVA.mobi. MarketIVA.com is a forex trading company and apparently one of the biggest. And that makes me wonder what the "IVA" has to do with forex trading, unless it means Individual or International Variable Annuity or something like that.

Another question that comes to mind is what did the other 2 bidders want with the name MarketIVA.mobi which apparently is already an established dotcom website company name. This leads me to believe there may be some value in the names I have. They may turn out worthless but time will tell.
