current event names are usually only valuable in the sense that the original registrar can make a site and some adsense off of it... usually very little resale value. IMHO reg. fee

You never know what may happen. He may end up being on trial for a very long time or he may be on trail again in the future. You never know but it mostly likely doesn't have very much value.
