LOL... crazy... Who in thier right mind would bid 25M for a 1000 pixel spot on that site?

Advertising seems to often be about "angles" and off-kilter approaches. This qualifies. Definitely driving publicity.

The auction is back down now to... $38,100 ! 12 mins to go...
I expected bidders to retract their bids at the last moment... But not to this low an amount!!

Hahah. Talk about a house of cards. I wonder how many of the other purchasers will have buyer's remorse a couple of weeks down the line.

The traffic will evaporate faster than a thimble of water in the sahara desert at 12 noon on a bright sunny day.

Jeez! They won't be popping too many champagne corks in Wiltshire tonight. Mind you, it pays for the Mini car.

I still say he should have sold the last pixels on the same premise he sold the others. Still, clever guy; and he should be happy with the $38k as it stands.

I'd be gutted with such a quick $130k loss...

greatdealsdepot won. Let's see if they cough up the $38,100.

Yes, I wouldn't doubt if it was some of his friends shilling trying to produce higher bids. Maybe an investigation needs to be taken. That would be awesome if it was his friends and they get nailed. Where's Duncan?

Geez....

I doubt if it was his friends. I don't think he's like that. It's more likely to be bidders taking advantage of click-throughs to their own auctions.

Oh please, I'm not the only one that has suspected something is up with this site and it's goings on. Get a sense of humor.

Exactly.
And more power to Alex and every $ / £ he gets/wins.

And the premium ten squares will be harder to find than a piece of hay in a stack of needles...

$1 million vs. $38k

Who cares. The slot was worth $1k so anything beyond that is pure profit.

A kick in the ass for the original detractors, eh?

I think he has enough cash for his university now.
it was a good idea, we see a lot of copies. in 6 months it should be history.

Should be Freddy, yes, should be. Shoulda Coulda Woulda. Let's see how this pans out. Alex has made his bunce. If he had a bigger brain he would be contacting all advertisers and offering to auction their spaces on eBay with him taking a commission.

How can you retract a bid, I mean is it allowed?
