I am looking for some advice/appraisal on a domain name set that I own. I currently own the names Mortgaged.com/.net/.org/.info/.biz. I realize the word is past tense, decreasing the value of it, but mortgage is currently one of the most valuable keywords, and this is the correct spelling (just in the past tense). In February, Mortage.com (a typo, and not even the more common typo Morgage.com) sold for over $242,000, and the names Mortgage.com and Mortgages.com would be worth well over a million dollars each if they ever came on the market, which I am sure they won't.

I have no web development experience and very little experience on the
traffic side of this business. I would be selling the names on the potential name value rather than on current traffic (I have not had these parked for a significant amount of time, so I don't have traffic figures). I figure a clever tagline could be "Get your house mortgaged at Mortgaged.com" or something of the like. I would imagine that the fact that this is an actual word increase the value because the name could be branded, unlike a typo which relies on people's mistakes to generate revenue.

I am not looking to sell these ASAP, but would like to recoup my investment sooner than later. I would appreciate it if someone could offer an appraisal regarding the fair market value of this set (ie: what I could get from a developer/reseller and what I could expect from an end-user). Obviously, I would love to sell this to an end-user, but would probably be happy selling it to a speculator/reseller/developer.

Also, if someone has brokering experience, please PM me if you are interested in working out a deal.

I like this name. I am sure this name would get a decent price.
You never know the biggest buying power of mortgage industry can pay how large a money for that.
If they dont buy the name right now, you are not broken by these 5 names.Just hold and wait.
Good Luck!

It might have decent resale value in the banking industry, with regard to re-finance of existing mortgages (hence - mortgaged.com), but it seems to me that most regular consumers will not think of that word when looking for loans.

You should market it to the secondary mortgage securitization business. I do a lot of legal work in that area, and it is red hot now, and should be for a while.

Agreed an all accounts, however, this name can be branded, unlike other names that have sold for massive amounts that rely on typo traffic alone. This name does not derive all of its value from people accidentally mistyping an address. If I was looking to determine the value based on the potential for people accidentally landing on the page, I would say it isn't a huge profit center. However, the ability to brand this makes this far more valuable. The fact that I own the main variations of this name (.com/.net/.org/.info/.biz) only help to enhance the value.

perhaps the foreclosure marketplace would be a potential buyer resource base...

good luck with it...

don't sign away broker rights to it - unless you completely checkout the person you are going to have working it for you...
