I am looking for some advice/appraisal on a domain name set that I own. I currently own the names Mortgaged.com/.net/.org/.info/.biz. I realize the word is past tense, decreasing the value of it, but mortgage is currently one of the most valuable keywords, and this is the correct spelling (just in the past tense). In February, Mortage.com (a typo, and not even the more common typo Morgage.com) sold for over $242,000, and the names Mortgage.com and Mortgages.com would be worth well over a million dollars each if they ever came on the market, which I am sure they won't.
I have no web development experience and very little experience on the
traffic side of this business. I would be selling the names on the potential name value rather than on current traffic (I have not had these parked for a significant amount of time, so I don't have traffic figures). I figure a clever tagline could be "Get your house mortgaged at Mortgaged.com" or something of the like. I would imagine that the fact that this is an actual word increase the value because the name could be branded, unlike a typo which relies on people's mistakes to generate revenue.
I am not looking to sell these ASAP, but would like to recoup my investment sooner than later. I would appreciate it if someone could offer an appraisal regarding the fair market value of this set (ie: what I could get from a developer/reseller and what I could expect from an end-user). Obviously, I would love to sell this to an end-user, but would probably be happy selling it to a speculator/reseller/developer.
Also, if someone has brokering experience, please PM me if you are interested in working out a deal.
