My site urecession.com got hacked. I was wondering if anyone can help me.

Thank you

Change passwords to your hosting account and pray you had a backup.

Check your IP logs to see where the hackers came from, too.

are you using a cms such as wordpress or joomla? if you are and its not kept updated, the cms may be infected, not necessarily your hosting account. this has happened to me a few times.

happens to me all the time

do you have a backup?
does ur host make a backup??

looking for the hackers is a waste, there will be there ip on the logs but you cant do anything.

For many hackers, it's just a game to them.
And most will just change index page.

What was your site platform?
Was your site using any CMS such as Joomla or wordpress?
Is password changed?

If your password is not changed...
Login asap and change your password.

If your password is changed...
Check your database.
It should have your password in encrypted format.
Many databases use md5 Encryption.

There are many sites that offer md5 Encryption for free.
Go to one of those sites and type in your new password
and copy Encrypted password.
Paste it into your database.

And "gawnd" is right.
You should always have latest version of any CMS script.

The website was made on Wordpress???

Maybe the hack didn't affected the database.

Happened once with me and i recovered everything without having to use the database backup.

The hack affected my theme files and i deleted them and reuploaded again.

If you need help let me know.
I'm not sure if i remember all steps i made.
But i can try to help.

Good luck on this....

Just for fun... the new music is great! ;)

Sorry :)

It looks like just the index.html page was removed

What was used to build it?
