Need HELP on a project...Please Look

I am needing a website built that has the following features:

Needs to have a secured area for members to login to get access to downloadable products and information.

Needs to allow clients to signup on the website (send me an email when they sign up) then direct them to pay the 1 time members fee via paypal. Then, automatically, once payment has been made, assign them a login username and password to access the members area. The logins and passwords need to be unique for each individual that signs up and need to be delivered to the new member immediately after payment has been received wth me having to do anything.

Also would need an affiliate script (free or cheap) added and working with this, so that affialtes can sign up and when they get a member to sign up, they get paid 20% or something like that.

Site must be able to handle as many as 8000 members (database of usernames and passwords and script involved).

I am more of a web designer than a programmer although I dabble a little in it....but this is out of my realm. I would like to easily be able to integrate the above with the design...but if it could simply allow me to change the header and footers of the displayed area...that would work.

Any help or people interested in helping me on this project would be greatly appriciated...I can pay you, but do not have a very big budget...I would be willing to exchange links on PR4 and many other sites for work as well...

i am not going to be picky...I know some about php and know that most of the time editing the design is easy with PHP.

PHP would be prefered but if it is cheaper or easier to do with a different language then I am open to them...just need this done, working efficiantly and as cost efficiant as possible to get it done...

Basically something like a shopping cart right? We have something similiar. With this one time payment - are they going to be downloading more than one item for that one payment? Any time limit or download limit? I would recommend a download limit so that your site does not get inundated on the warez websites.

I am just looking for a way for people to sign up for a membership to an area that is username and password protected. When they sign up they will pay via paypal or merchant account - then a script will automatically send them a username and password for them to login to the protected members area that contains the files they want. Each username and password will be unique...any security to prevent warez hackers ect...from abusing it would be great.

Any ideas to help me with this??? Seems this is not an off the wall request, must be someone out there that knows how to do this or has a cheap script that can do this...

you sound like a typical salesman - no offense - that's great when your selling...

But what you descibe, although it is common, requires an investment of time and money which from your words I think is totally out of your realm....

Although there are a lot of paid softwares and services out there, to know how to integrate it all..... This involves a lot of dynamic content, functionality and automation- plus other things.

Don't minimizethe task. You're talking 3 months and 3-4 thousand minimum - I'l bet more!

the reason that I wanted this setup this way was to make it quick and easy for new members to be able to get into the members area without having to wait. I can use the PERL paypal subsciption script which automatically creates usernames and passwords for users to access a secured area (this script is free from paypal) but was thinking that there were others out there like that from different companies other than paypal.

I have no problem with setting the members up myself, if it is done through a simple system...but they may have to wait several hours after paying and salesman or not, that is just not as good of a business practice.

I am setting this all up because I am joining with a very large company that is going to be able to send over somewhere in the area of 1000 - 8000 new sign ups in a 60 day period and possible 2000 - 8500 new affilates to the site in a 80 day period. That is a lot of work manually for me if it is not automated.

Guess I will talk to some other people and programmers...
