I believe for a long time there will be no so much type in traffic as many people expect. I do believe the registrations will go to the millions, because the companies whould like to have a .eu extension besides the local one.
But for type in traffic, I believe it will take years.
So typos of this kind , maybe not perform that well in terms of revenue generating in short term.

I see the .us and .biz are available - pick these up and you could get $20-30K for the whole package.

I guess the buyer incorrectly (in rush, etc.) read the name as 'online...' and offered such a price for typo with a new ext. I dont think so he'll be back with his offer for this domain. I'd like to be wrong. Prices for typos depend greatly on traffic and revenue.

Excellent news for the .eu name industry!
Moreover, it seems that many "pending application" names will be released in coming months by EurId due to lack of compliance!
For those who want to have a chance to grab some, I am selling a fast bulk php script or EXE to scan free & application-pending names - let me know if interested ;-)
Is this an Appraisal Thread or a shameless Spam Promotion Thead?

I believe apologizes are in order after you Read the Rules of the Forum and realize your spam in unaquainted. (Especially since, as someone pointed out, you can get the same for free - this could make you look more like a spammer scammer than a reputable businessperson.)

re: OnlinCasino.eu

I agree with most of the experienced professional domainers here who say you should have sold it - ideas of a grander payout is very risky speculation imo.

Like someone else asked - What do you expect to fetch above 10Gs for a typo will likely receive very little traffic for a long time, and with other top extensions still available? (I'd be interested to hear your theory behind an expected increase in value as time goes on.)

I agree, the .com isn't even worth 10Gs.

Please let us know in the future if your buy and hold strategy works.

Best Success in All your Endeavours!

I was thinking the same. I doubt the person that made the offer realised it was a typo.

No offence but this name is trash. You did the right thing not to accept the offer because the offer must have been made in error. It may be worth $50 to the owner of the correct spelling of the domain name. Will eat my computer if you sell it. :typing: Creature.

Whaou, I have only been showing off www.OnlinCasino.eu since a couple of days on Sedo ago and I already received an offer of 10k ! That's amazing.
Well, I have decided to decline it and to wait untill de value grows up :bounce:

:peace:

Congrats on the offer! You could have taken the $10K and reinvested it in names with better growth potential. There are .eu names with better growth prospects for less money. As the others have said a typo's value is contingent on type-in traffic.

I think your domain name is not valued so high, and maybe the buyer thought it was onlinecasino.eu instead of onlincasino.eu

Of course you can wait, it's your domain, but I would accept instead of saying no.

Domain prices can go up or down, prices not always increases.

Unless you have knowledge of a major site planned for onlinecasino.eu (the correct spelling), take the offer and see if its genuine.
cheers

I wish He would stop saying... "ill take that into consideration" Theres nothing to consider. Since he probably did misread it, and now if you go back trying to accept his offer now, they may realize the mistake they've made.. You have to act quickly

the truth is there is no real value here, and the buyer probably miss-read the name when he submitted his offer. I would accept the offer and see if you ever hear back from the buyer. I doubt it would go any furhter.

I agree with you, the buyer wants OnlineCasino.eu for $10k.

To be compleatly honest, I have a hard time believing you had an offer for 10k... I would have a hard time believing you had an offer for $100. Id hope that you wouldnt make such an appraisal thread in hopes to gather publicity

The fact is... Its way too early in the game for any sensible domainer to dish out that kind of money for a .eu domain name of its class.

If that is the case, I strongly advise you clear your plate and come clean, as a lot of people find this thread very fishy.

Maybe hes lieing about an offer so high hoping someone on this forum is going to pm him and say hey i'll take it for 11.5K or something

If you got an offer of 10K you messed up by not taking it..

You wont get anything near it in the future.

Even if there is a real offer for $10k, could anyone imagine one of these scenario's in the next couple of years:

1) The E.U. decides to ban typo-squatting on .eu domains.
2) The E.U. decides to ban parked sites on .eu domains.
3) The E.U. decides to ban online gambling sites with .eu domains.

I may be off base here, but I wouldn't put it past the E.U. to want to flex it's control over the .eu extension a bit by doing something like this. If that were to happen, the site would be worth $10 as a novelty. Other than that, I have to imagine the typo could certainly make some revenue...but $10K?

Unfortunately, that ain´t too far off. But it will be more a global rule ( for ALL online gambling sites) .

Nuts, "gambling is a drug" ... they probably turn around and say "domain business is gambling too, you are in risk to loose everything" and ban it too.
