I spoke with him on the phone and he seems like a nice guy, but we could not agree on terms.

I wish him the best with his sale.

Thanks for "nice guy" to topnames, but it seems that he didn't agree my terms. Still open, $3k at the moment.

Ouch!

(sorry - seemed appropriate)

Topnames - Good move, you'd be mad, infact you'd be crazy to pay via WU

There are some crazy requests out there.....

I'm sure i see " ouch.com " for sale on ebay for $35k - it only dropped about a week ago.

I think newbie is probley not as new as he makes out to be in the domain world :-D

To his credit, he offered to transfer the domain before I made payment. I just wanted to research proper ownership before I made payment.

I've sent the confirmation messages, etc
And no, He's not crazy - I've got some problems with receiving escrow here in RUSSIA. That's why I'm asking about WU.
If you're simply afraid of this domain/price - tell it the way it is.

fair enough - I actually tried to get it at pool but no joy.

If he offered to transfer before receipt of monies then fair play also.

Sorry, I thought you were speaking to me. I'll edit my post.

Good luck with your sale.

dont let a little misunderstanding ruins everything...

goodluck guys,
aguss

Any1 here knows Attilio? How fair he is?

Can you share what kind of traffic the domain is generating?

im sure ouch gets nice traffic i'll take it hi everyone.

3-grand would have been quite a bounty for your "first" sale. And from my own experience, you'll not find a classier, more reliable trader than TopNames.

Notwithstanding the complications of doing business from Russia, I suggest you retreat from your position and find a way to make TopNames comfortable with YOU. He'd be nuts to do this deal via Western Union.

You'll find escrow.com a simple, reliable transaction medium, in which funds can even be wired to your bank. Don't blow it, domainp.

Scott
... whose first RETAIL sale was a comparatively paltry $220.

I will make this public so the seller might feel a bit more comfortable.

I bought ouch.com.

The seller accepted to transfer the domain on advance.

I will complete WU payment as soon as possible tomorrow morning and in the unfortunate case I would not be able to do so
(is first time I pay by this way and I am uncertain about their policies here in Mexi) I will immediately push back the domain to the seller.

At this point I have no reason to doubt about the good faith of the seller as he trusted me and as all we know the domain dropped just few days ago.

Thanks,

Congrats to both of you. I'm glad it worked out in the end.

Well,

I did some quick research and I have some doubts now:

on a post about ouch.com on the expring forum I read:

In addition someone with ID opportunitymagic was offering ouch.com on ebay, auction ended yesterday at over 4.5k but reserve not met, and on the auction is stated the seller was from Florida.

Domainp, you are from Russia and your name is not Allen Glodberg.

Domainp, would you kindly make things clear to me:

1) Was you selling the domain on Ebay with id opportunitymagic?

2) Is/was the whois I showed above and posted here same or following day after ouch.com dropped correct?
and if yes who is Allen Goldberg? Do you know him?

I am willing to honor the deal but I want to have absolutely clear the history of the domain.

Thanks,

Attilio
