Paternity testing is different than pregnancy testing, and to the best of my knowledge it is not something you can buy in a pharmacy (though I could be wrong)
I really like it. Can't offer a meaningful appraisal as I know nothing about the market, but I think this is secondary only to paternity.com or paternitytest.com
A google search of paternity test shows a lot of opportunity to rank a good domain. Tests go for hundreds of dollars in a lot of cases. I would consider development over selling.

I'd guess that the end use is only partly sales of DNA testing services and devices.

It's true, you're all right. DNA kits are now sold OTC at Walgreens, CVS, etc and are often bought by someone who wants to be assured of any family tie, it can come from a son who suspects he was adopted (number of examples on mag/shows like 20/20, I happened to watch a segment exactly on that last Friday lol, some fluke....) Or other cases, so it's not only for paternity concerns, and it is a huge potential market. Unlike EPTs, you have to send DNA samples away and have a specialized lab analyze them. You also see kits for drug use sold at drugstores, popular w/parents. That market is growing quick and the next step is have the results of everything instantly and right at home
But the domain is PaternityTesting.com, I agree w/Jack, well into the $X,XXX (even $XX,XXX) because the testing is expensive so a company promoting that product would make a lot of money if the product works. And it is worth developing, unless you get a great offer. PaternityTest.com would fare a bit better like Jack said but yours is still great (not sure paternity.com would be much better, it sounds like the best possible term to have, but it's also a more ample term as far as meaning, PaternityTest and PaternityTesting are better imo) Ideally a pharmaceutical or biomed/biotech co would make the best acquirer, if they develop their own DNA kit for that they'd pay a lot to own your domain. But if you just monetize it and optimize it well those medical/pharma links pay some of the highest RPCs, just like legal and financial, even $XXX-clicks I've heard, at least when domaining was really hot
And FogFever, make sure you see Delivery Man w/Vince Vaughn, it's just coming out right now, your timing for this thread is perfect LMFAO. It's about a dude who donated sperm for money when younger and due to an error his samples were used to inseminate some 531 women instead of just a couple, so he fathered 531 kids. The premise is just great and a nightmare for any guy who's "donated" his spirits in the past... (saw the ads online, will catch the movie later) :madgrin:

IMHO, paternity test(ing) is a great term, and perhaps THE correct term, while DNA test(ing) is too vague. One can use 1000 different DNA test types to measure 10000000 variables. Paternity testing is an almost unequivocal term. I don't like "parental testing", because one never questions if the woman who gave birth to a child is really his/her mother. It's about PATERNITY. Eventually there could be a protein-based (not DNA-based) paternity test, which would only reinforce the opinion above.
The possibility to convert such domain into a mixed online plus brick-and-mortar service (even using snail-mail and/or e-mail), makes it extremely powerful.
If I were an end user with such service already making big bucks, I wouldn't hesitate to pay 20K for the name. In the case of an startup, mid X,XXX seems fair.
