Hi,

What do you think?

PeopleOver40.com?

JC

Let me get back to you in 2 years :-D

Hi,

If I can remember, I will be sure to remind you.

For those under 40 maybe you can give me your thoughts on

PeopleUnder40.com

People Over 40 has an Ovt of 48.

Thanks,

JC

Well I fished that name at www.leapfish.com and got a combined value score of only 30. That is pretty low and puts a base value at $142.00 based on the CVS of over 2000 recently sold domain names. This of course is only a base estimate...names sell frequently for 5 to 10 times higher than their base estimate.

Good Luck,
Cillosis

This doesn't mean anything.

It report $3486.00 for guess what name?
Business.com :-)

LOL. You misunderstand the LeapFish system. It does not analyze a name based on what it "means" logistically. Only as a name, Business.com has potential because of the specific word it is. Without the "reputation" and implied value, its just a simple word that happens to be quite popular. The "Estimated Base Value" is created from over 2000 recently sold domain names that are run in the LeapFish system and get scores. Then an average "multiplier" is created to multiply against the CVS of names people enter. This number is what is considered a "base" sale point which you shouldn't sell any lower because people statistically WILL pay that amount. Logistically, certain names are way more valuable such as Business.com but I'm sure the people who own that name are aware of its value and don't need a little analysis tool to help them out.

Cillosis.

Thanks Cillosis and Copper for your replies.

At least at leapfrog the value started out higher than the reg fee!
I just registered it a week or two ago.

I do see the protential for developement.

Anyone else?

Thanks,

JC

Here's some recent sales that you may find useful:

PeopleProject com $2,500 Mar 06 Sedo
RatedPeople com $400 Nov 05 AfterNic
OneMillionPeople com $200 Oct 05 AfterNic

Cheers,
BidNo

P.S. Don't worry Copper; I'm sure BigDon will set it right shortly...

I like this name. It could enter the over crowded dating market as a segment. Divide and conquer (dilute). Develop using a dating site template for 1-2 years. 25 x subscriber base monthly revenue. Retire in 2 years.

Thanks Bidno for taking the time to do the comps, it's much appreciated, and Thank you compareman, I like your way of thinking!

Thanks Demo,

Did you have an apprasial for

PeopleOver40.com?

JC

PS. Don't feel bad about the mod edit. It happens to the best of us.

This was a definite domainer's light bulb over the head moment, an excellent domain. Great potential, but hard to appraise. If you only wish to sell it, I'd say don't take less than $1k plus expenses. But I'd also say, develop and use it instead...

Thanks Domain Whiz!

Thats just the way it happened. I couldn't believe it wasn't registered.

OVT went up in March to 79, from 54 in Feb.

Something to build upon.

Anymore opinions?

Thanks Again to All who replied.

I don't know, I feel younger every day :D

Such fun! It's a bit like 'Meet me under the arches in two years time.' Do you stick a note in your diary to remember something like that? :)

?? - - - what did you end up doing with it these past 2 years ??

I like the name...

Mallie - I knew I had asked for an apprasial for peopleover40.com. So I did a quick search and just happened to to reread and realized it had been 2 years. Otherwise, I never would have remembered since I am over 40!

DomainBell - It's going to waste as a ppc-site. It really should have been developed.

Acroplex - I wish we all could say that.

So, How much had things changed for this domain Apprasial Wise?

Thanks Everyone!

JLC
