My feeling is that dot name is not worthless when the domain is what it should be: a name, first name, or last name.
Here Detroit is a city name. So I will say it worth something and this something should not exceed $1,000 (according is domain scoring) to a very motivated buyer.

Silliest TLD ever created. Yes, a domain is a name. Does a registry really think people are so stupid that they have to be told that? It's like hopping in a friend's car and having them announce "this is a car!" Well, no sh*t Sherlock. Thank you for that revelation - I never would have guessed! IMO it is the only TLD that actually goes out of its way to insult your intelligence.
