I think might be good as a portal site for various suppliers from different industries. Or maybe a forum for different purveyors?

Be careful - purveyor appears to be a registered trademark in the USA:

www.purveyorusa.com

It is also registered in the UK:

I like it. Works ok with the .org too $100 to $250

Stay away from selling women's clothes and you should be ok with the trademarks. I recognized it more as a dictionary word then an existing trademark.

Its a .org, a single dictionary word, and I dont think have to worry about clothes maker. If I develop it, it certainly would be nothing close to clothes.

Besides, if it were that enforcable they would have taken purveyor.com.
