If you have any luck with that let me know Sid and I'll do the same. Don't think it will work though - as the problem appears to be in their system - not with any computer or browser.

I'll PM you our account details in few mins domainut, thanks ... So I'll clear all my doubts on this matter once for all :)

Here's something really weird. Before I went to bed last night I tried to enter the same name for about the 30th time. Again it told me "avalable to register" so it wouldn't let me place the backorder. Just looked in my account and now the backorder is placed on that name! Might be someone in tech support doing something. I gave them a list of all of the names I was trying to place to prove they are names that are being reported available for backorder by their system - yet won't let you place backorders because the same system claims they are available for immediate registration. After seeing that I tried to get a few others names in place but it doesn't work.

DomainEmpire just tried and it didn't work for him, then he sent me his login details and a name to backorder, and it worked fine for me. Hmm this really wierd.

Sid

At this point the problem is really strange: we're using win98 SE and you ?
Same question for you Duke; please, let me know ... ;-)

Ok, later I'll do a diff. test, I'll try to login by other 3 browsers: Netscape, Opera and Mozilla Firebird ... Maybe it will work from at least one of them :)

win98SE using CrazyBrowser.

I used Windows XP with IE 6.0 - I have already tried it using Netscape and on different computers running Win98 with no luck. I'll PM you a couple to try Sid.

I have the same problem usually, but today it seems to be working for me, just did them all for you duke. But it doesn't seem to be my browser, because it happened once while doing yours duke, then i retried and it worked. All 7 BO's placed.

originally posted by DomainEmpire.com... it works with Netscape 7.1 for sure for what I saw :)

Just recieved this message.

To show you how far Netscape has fallen off the radar, I didn't even know there WAS a Netscape 7.1! I have 4.7 on my computer. Maybe I'll add 7.1 and see it it helps. This is all VERY weird!

Hope it works Duke, crossing my fingers.

:ok:

Ok I'm back now and yes, I can confirm that it's working perfectly only with Netscape 7.1 ... Nothing to do with all other browsers but for me it's ok :)

I take this opportunity for a question if possible, domainut: every time I use a new snap, by default it displays the data of the old account owner even if I've already replaced them under Customer Information.

Is there a way to put my data as default for all future snaps or not ? No problem entering them manually for each snap (once done, it's all ok forever) but there's no way to remove that "United States list" so now I live in Asti - Arizona (Instead of Asti - Italy) :(

login to your account and then click customer details, you should be able to change your country there, then change the city and state.

don't select a state type it in manually in the text space under the state selections.

Sid

Ops, it's exactly what I've already done, sorry for the equivocal.
In "Customer informations" are now displayed our correct data but, every time we setup a new account, we continue to get the old account's owner.
Ok no problem, I'll leave Alabama ... I'll edit whois manually after registration for each of them :(

Regarding snaps ... strange but true, now it's working fine with Internet Explorer too! ;-)

I haven't downloaded netscape 7 yet, but I just went into my account and was able to switch one that failed today (0-4 this afternoon after being 0-11 the last day I had some up). So it appears to be working at least temporarily in the old setup again. I'm going to go ahead and get Netscape so I will be ready to try it when this happens again (bet I won't have to wait too long!)

I've a doubt Duke, maybe from time to time you're doing my same mistake: are you having troubles to setup new snaps only ?

Maybe you forget to select the box near to " Click here to backorder this domain name." :)

No it wouldn't let me do anything - could not set up new ones OR switch old ones. I always check that box. It could be that Netscape 7 had nothing to do with yours working again since it works in IE again now too. Could just be that the bug had temporarily gone away again when you were using Netscape. It keeps coming and going with no rhyme or reason (has ever since I joined in June) but this last time was ridiculous with it being inoperable for days.
