$100 to a collector... yes its a dictionary word but 1) Negative words or words with negative non-jolly connotations never sell well compared to happier and more hopeful counterparts 2) Options for development are seriously hindered with that word. Racism.info on the other hand would work well for the extension. Just not feeling this at all. Good luck!

I actually was thinking about doing a site not so much about hate groups, but those that discriminate.

I'm always getting spammed by "women's networking" groups, which do seminars and such to help women "get ahead" and "deal directly with other women"... in other words, these are people teaching women to no do business with men. That's discimination.

A few weeks ago I was looking into volunteering, and kept coming across companies that provide assistance to "ethnic minorities and women". On careful reading, it seems many of these "charities" are willing to help anyone EXCEPT caucasian males. Again, teaching people to hate and discriminating based on skin color and gender.

Of course the apathetic, mind numbed general public doesn't even recognize blatant discrimination when they see it.

Seriously thinking about putting together a website to expose a-holes like those. Perhaps this domain could be used in a similar way.

There already is a NAAWP. They're a bunch of tools though. Then again, so is the NAACP. IMO, there are only 2 kinds of people...domainers and everyone else

JK...But seriously, I've seen upclose the damages that racism can do and it needs to be eliminated in any way possible. If you decide to develop this site, I would hope that you would do it in a way that would contribute to the elimination of racism and ignorance.

Personally, it doesn't bother me. I like short dictionary words. A site promoting diversity and awareness. That is the safe route.

But the word racist is word that harbours a deeper and sometimes haunting imagery and one that can not just simply be brushed aside. It is much more than a black and white issue although that is immediately what comes to mind here in the U.S. In the Europe during World War II, it was a matter of another sort.

Agreed...anything that sounds negative even when it is a dictionary word domain name will have limited, if not a very limited appeal, in most cases thereby shrinking your market.

Sure, we'd all like to see something perceived as a negative turned into a positive. But unless you were to personally do something with this domain name to develop it, then all bets are off as to what the end use will be and what we might be seeing on racist.info.

I second, third and fourth the motion! The thread itself is borderline racist (may be even crossing the border).

I don't like being judgmental, but this has diminished the purpose of offering appraisals of a domain name, not name calling.
