RackShack.net Down?!

Is it just me or is rackshack.net down? I can't reach their site, or anyother site for that matter thats using their dns. Seems like a pretty big network outage.

I know that I haven't been able to view webhostingtalk.com, which is owned and hosted by rackshack.

I am also having some issues with my reseller account through Burst.net. I don't know what's going on...

I've been trying to find out whats going on with them, I cant get any email because they are all on rackshack servers.

I'm getting my email but i'm running my own dns. I have one site thats still on rackshack's dns and it is now back online, so they must be getting close... we are about 100,000 hits off today over this

my email is working again so at least its a step in the right direction.

Running from my own DNS too, and my server is up. I cannot access Rackshack.net though. Might be a propogation/server-move issue. I don't remember any "heads up" though. The forums seem down too.

Yeah I noticed WHT was down earlier, looks like its still down.

I finally got ahold of someone i know that works there here is what he said:

"Rackshack's experiencing major network problems, but almost everything should be ok now. Webhostingtalk, our forums and our main page are blocked to the outside world temporarily."

So i guess we just have to wait a little longer on WHT to be back.

What I know:

Network Outage 03/07/03

Today, we experienced a substantial attack that resulted in a partial outage of our network.

I am unable to provide detailed information of the attack at this time.

The entire Network Team and Network Operations Centers worked very hard to bring this to a resolution.
