All sedo parking pages are down yet again, for UK users using BT.

Are you (Sedo) working to get this issue resolved with BT? BT blocking Sedo's namservers during peak hours is causing considerable revenue loss to me (and indeed all Sedo members with UK traffic)

this has been going on since december... what would they have to gain by blocking this IP range?

If I don't spank Sedo, nobody will (Ed, are you there?) :-D
On another note, new record revenue for 4th consecutive day for me.

I agree it's not Sedo's fault however it does impact Sedo and it's members quite badly. Have you (Sedo) contacted BT to try and resolve the problem? Is there any resolution on the horizon or are we stuck with this periodical downtime for the foreseeable future?

first thing in the morning I am on the phone to BT corporate.. I spoke to them back in January about this and they said it was not them.. but now that I have this thread to refer to, they aint giving me the run around..

but saying that it could be the German ISP... either way I will find out in the morning.. putting on my serious cap just in case.....

Hi everybody,

This is obviously really frustrating for us. It was a big issue in January and I worked night and day to get it solved (keeping within the strict German laws on working hours, of course...) and we thought that we'd got to the root of the problem.
This sadly seems not to be the case, so I'll get on the back again. However, there's nothing as good as a barrage of angry customers contacted them. Threats of ISP change normally get the job done...!

Hope it all gets sorted soon, people.

Ok peepz I have spoke to BT Corporate and then the tech team for our accounts.

Could you all, if this happens again Tracert(traceroute) to the Sedopaking IP address so we can see where the connection is failing. (212.227.34.3)

I have a case reference number, for this with BT HighLevel Complaints.

They have assured me that they will fix this once they know where and when the connection is failing. Could you also check that you are configuring to the BT DNS servers that you were given when you registered, if you are already could you let me know what they are, or if you are allowing your router to autosense, could you then choose manual and enter the ones given.. see if that resolves the problem.

I have made this my personal mission to find out the route of this problem.. your support here would be of great assistance.

Thanks

that does make sense... it's what i thought, routing problems... they should be able to figure out where it is failing -- if they know what they are doing that is.
