I can understand a visit not paying, but if that visitor does a "search" of your site, should that be considered revenue?

Thanks,
DD

A search merely pulls up links to look at. The advertisers, from whom all the PPC funds flow, only pay when someone clicks through to their site. PPC is like you are being paid for bringing someone into the store, whether they buy or not. Do you really think that advertisers will pay you for somone just standing outside the store and checking out the windows?

Having started in PPC as an advertiser, I can tell you that I would not pay for someone to merely look at my listing and a link with no click through.
