@Biggie, true, however as my company name ends with "Company" it kind of made sense to me to go with the .company extension both for some fun in having the name and to secure and reinforce the brand. So, yes, I did go with one of the new .company tld names.

i though that is what .CO was meant for, no?

:)
CO was a typo for COM since the previous typo for COM was CM and that was a mega fail.

Show me some new gtld sales.... :)

All this hype and no big sales yet.... Top 20 weekly sales still 95%+ .com

Why would it be any different at this time in the game?

Plus, do you expect all the new gTLD's to fail and not have good sales?

anyone got any good ones?

None for me.

But I am happy to report that I did win LasVegas.Management and LosAngeles.Center.

I am honing in on geo's but also want to make sure that the word+extension makes sense in very simple, rudimentary terms. I want to have something marketable that end user's would ultimately seek and I do not expect to re-sell to domainers.

Note: I have to chuckle when I am typing on my apple notebook. Every time I attempt to spell domainers, the laptop auto corrects to domineers.

Maybe too early to predict what is going to happen. But, I definitely think extensions such as .web will be BIG, but almost everything else will fail. imo...

The thing is though, is that the new gtld's will live and die by Google, so we would have to wait and see how they play into Google's algorithm. Let's be honest here, no one is typing in MyDomain.company.....

Zero.

One thing to add: there are far more names reserved by the registry this time around.

I picked up myperfect.company. This is either the ultimate in positive thinking or a foolish delusion. I'll let you know this time next year.

Failed to get mission.center, boobs.management was rejected. I did get contingency.management but don't have high hopes for that one.

Chickened out of all .berlin

I'm not agree with what you say "ICECUDE" - no one is typing in MyDomain.company.....
There are more and more looking directly into the browser bar for services.
there are fewer and fewer user going to the search function of Google, Bing, ... etc.
I managed to get these names, and I am happy:

Someone has to actually visit the site for it to be cached and auto complete in the browser bar :)

I've just been reading a piece with Charlie Rose hosting Larry Page, co-founder and CEO of Google, who says that companies fail because "They missed the Future." Very profound.

Being out here in San Francisco, I have witnessed first hand the benefit and the scurge of having a company like Google around. I had envisioned a company of repute that everyone wants to work for on the one hand. Then the other hand sees the gentrification of the entire Bay area, google being blamed for every thing from congestion to water consumption. Solution was for google to bus employees in on their own buses. Now that plan (and routes) are attacked. So they decided to create their own high speed ferry system. It has not even been launched yet and is under heavy fire. Last night I saw on the news where google is proposing an overhead rail system of "car" pods...looks like small 2-4 passenger vehicles suspended on a rail...all to be built and funded by google. That is drawing its fair share of critics...

the point is perhaps companies (and communities) fail because they fail to see the future or perhaps in some cases, the ills and problems of the future come about too rapidly for any one to control.

if San Francisco needs any help, they can contact me on my SanFrancisco (dot) company website
If they can't find it there, they can check my other website at LosAngeles (dot) company website

thanks, next time i will keep in mind, the reason I picked name.com, because it is one click check out and process of reg name is much easier and simpler, i rather pay dollar extra than going through whatever harsh process lol, am lazy i guess. I only reg names for personal use for company, it would be nice if I sell to end user, otherwise, i am ok :)

I started a thread, if you still regging, there are good names avaliable.
