arent there any more domains!?

Was able to pick up 2 3-character domains. These 2 have most of the other extensions taken.

1GB
( 1 gigabyte )
1TB
( 1 terabyte )

likewise, I got

01A

- there are less numbers than letters, thinking in terms of rarity.

i honestly think that is true. i have been checking companies here in japan if they got .asia and the majority has. now this is just Japan that i have been checking. surely China got a lot!

Is there anyone that can get this number? or is it best to wait until after the auctions?

I think that was in the first 24 hours or something and that was just in the landrush period.

"45,697 domains received more than one application in Landrush and will go to auction"

think its in the 10's of millions now but I cant find any data to back that up

Lentheman - you have post 3 times and its all relating to your 2 .asia domains ( its called spamming )

If you want to know how much a certain .com went for then this is the wrong thread.

There is no real data on sales for .asia domains aprt from pool dotasia auction

no one has sold any .asia that im aware of. you should do some research on the value of names by the internet, i guess. But your "pokertricks" may not do to well in asia as there are no other asian country extensions that regged that name. "chinadating" seems to be ok.

it would be nice to have some database where one could lookup archives of domain sales.

I recieved my sunrise notices of domains that were successfully allocated, I got 3 out of about 50, all others are going to auction... One generic in particular that was allocated came as a real surprise, 55 Million results and nobody backordered it.

Not posting it because I dont want to give my Philippine address away.

darn. so if i buy it, can i have your address? hehehe

interestingly there are some that i got as well and was suprised that no one backordered the SINGULAR of the name. my results gave me more than that of the backordered plural. negligence from companies, perhaps? mine is generic, but you would think that a big company would buy both singular and plurals... guess not. lucky us!

Ehsan,
thank you for joining in

American and European companies pretty much stay in the other half of the hemisphere. culturally, they are similar. Asia, similiar in Asia but different from the relationship of the west. The west hemisphere does mostly business relationships in the west. and the east, in the east.

the west had the upper-hand with .com in the early 90's and hourded them all. the east, well, no big deal. culture and custom during that time (and still today) keeps business ties rather than the internet.

now after the .com, almost 2 decades later, the east expanded, developed more and financially stronger than the early 90's. As the west got bored and progressed in warfare and finding out why their own culture was going bad, the east (for centuries already established culture) was ready to move ahead - passing the west.

I dont want to go so deep with this, but if we were to compare both the numbers, history, population, education, and the economy - between the east and west; 2 decades ago and today, we can see a large gap.

think about mobile phones. america made them first. but who made the network strong and in short time, and helped mobile techology and the market strong? the east. Historically, the west makes most new inventions, but the east produces and makes it better.

.com was made and .asia may make it better. surely .com is globally known and much more recognized than .asia, but .asia will go strong: knowingly .com is the structure of telecommunications and virtual interaction, .asia will expand it and make it better.

well, IMO. i may be thinking too far ahead :uhoh:

I like your theory MobileDesigner. If .asia turns out to expand and become better, then I should do ok with names like militarybase.asia and rovers.asia.
