Pool sucks and Snap is here to stay.

Snap just caught two nice ones:

rebuild.com - Currently at $1,610

travelquest.com - Currently at $2,150

Yes Sir, Let's kick Pool's Butt!!!

Beware travelquest.com has a trademark and that makes the value WAY low.
It is a "issue" domain full of speculation...

You can not know for sure you will keep that one..

To my eye, recycling.net is the generic-word catch today. But that's me.

Depends - "The Recycling Network" could be rather huge as a central clearinghouse with the right marketing.

But what do I know?

Pool is becoming greedy and the new 2 phase system is proof. I am happy snapnames is showing results and hope this becomes a routine.

Still think Snap stinks for that converting snaps to auctions move. They need to be sued. Not fair at all for the domainers that did the original research, found the names first and put down money to secure it based on Snaps word that they then had the exclusive right to the name if caught.

These drop catchers have all shown traits as slimeballs in one way or another.

Agreed. But then it boils down to the question of the survival of Snapnames itself. They were losing market share and revenue to Pool. Had they gone out of business, the snaps (future exclusive rights if caught :undecided ) would have expired too.

Yeah, domainers got screwed in this deal. But this move is more beneficial for the whole market in general. Better to have more competitors than few.

Just my 2 cents. Not making a point here. After all, what do I know :shy:

Agreed as well, but Snaps should have granfathered in the subscriptions already in place. I see this no different than if a domainer sold me a name and then decided he would rather auction it.

Pool must be shut down.

Wishful thinking.

It is important that all of the players stay in the game.

Otherwise, we will be squeezed more.

A matter of fact. I think we need for NW and/or Godaddy to
get stronger.

Or, another group to enter the picture.
