Stolen Domains with DotRegistrar

Just an update about how I'm indirectly involved in the stolen domain events taking place now it seems. In that, someone stole a domain name I was in the middle of purchasing. Turns out its the same person that was stealing other domains. The seller wasn't aware that he no longer controlled the domain name and that it was with another registrar.

Dotregister says they can't do anything about it. The previous registrar has to investigate it. Meanwhile, they continue to let their client to keep stealing. They know the information he gives them incorrect, not just with WHOIS but also the information they have on their own customer. They've verified this too.

Current legislation could possibly implicate Dotregistrar under RICO just for benefitting from the crime and not taking action.

So anyway, for those who were interested.. its definitely going down. Wonder how long until the media picks up on it.

for the update Brujah. A handful of us knew exactly what nameinvestor was talking about. This story will have legs for sure. Dotregistrar is a partner in crime until they decide to acknowledge the truth.

This criminal will be prosecuted one way or the other.

thief forges or otherwise fraudulently changes the admin contact at NSI first and then transfers the name to dotregistrar. He targets abandoned names, but obviously steps on his d#%^ occasionally, as it appears happened with brujah. This guy is a total fraud and a thief.

Sorry to hear about your experience. Yes, this story will hit the media coming up for sure since these are extremely valuable domains. No way it can be hidden now.

It is being investigated now by a big internet company and I hear they are talking with both Verisign and their Congressman. I think someone actually has got this guy's name and location too.
