Nice name. I would value the name at around $8k - $10K for a reseller/ speculator, and about $15k for endusers.

$10K is around reseller price, could go for bit more but resellers can be fussy over nets.

any slight detraction points from a domain and it cuts $xx,xxx down to $xxx because its a risk investment, tatoos.net is still a strong domain though.

for a domain like that (check ovt results) and for such a market, I cant think of this domain in terms of a reseller.
this domain begs to be sold to an end user.

I don't remember the last time i saw .net bought by end user.. :)

big corps go for .com, small corps don't know the value of domain. if they do, they probably don't have budget to spend, imho.

also, what business model will make money from tattoos.net if end user buy it...

you're kidding right?
so. from the thousands (if not tens of thousands) of tattoo businesses in the US, you think they all want a tattomybutt.com domain or tattos.net?
I get offers from ebd users for .nets all the time, but definately less than .com
what I am saying is, if this was a .com, it would be worth easily high $xx,xxx to an end user.
as a .net for the same keyword, you have to discount, but not by a gigantic factor.

Well, frankly, I think 99% of them wants tattomybutt.com for $7 than buying tattoos.net for $xx,xxx. what a point to get tattoos.net if you only have a store in Manhattan? The store will only serve local people, not the rest of the world.

If you want to start tattoos network, then you need a lots of budget to promote it. That's what I'm trying to say. In that case, the buyer'd rather get .com that a .net. Also, if you have that much enthusiasm to promote your business, then any name will work e.g. ebay.com, xanga.com, etc.

Unless, you're very lucky, then you will sell a .net at end-user price.

again, it's just my 2 cents.
