Acro....You gotta get over this dental thing.... :)

Good stuff, hobo...

The world today is what its always been...A place where nothing is set in concrete, and everything is what you do with it. Today's times are no different. Forget the headlines & the economist's graphs & stats...They tell you averages, and generalities - and, what happened yesterday. Focus on what YOU will do - NOW. THINK about what people want and need TODAY, and TOMORROW...and, do something, in response to that.

Passivity is economic death....Negativity & defensiveness is ruin....Movement is the thing. It doesn't matter in which direction. Just proactive movement...Be focused on what you're doing - and, then DO it...Don't wait for something to happen to you. MAKE something happen. Anything. You'll find you can make a difference, because action breeds reaction...and, you may be surprised what you can bring your way - in any economic environment.

If you take a long view, now is an excellent time to be buying domains. I saw some recent sales on Sedo where Rap.org went for $5,900 and Hamburgers.net went for $5,700. Those are ridiculous steals. Kudos to the buyers. My condolences to the sellers.

That is a sign of the times of how people are throwing the baby out with the bathwater, basically giving away great names.

During the post dot com hangover the legends of the domain name industry (Yun Ye, Frank Schilling, Kevin Ham, etc) made their fortunes by buying up excellent names on the cheap.

If you've been smart enough to have navigated the last few years correctly, right now is a great time to be in the market for domains.

To be sure though, to minimize risk and maximize return on assets, now is the most important time to be developing your names. Undeveloped names are like real estate property that sits vacant with no tenants. A giant waste.

Sure they can, and they plan on doing it. They are going to keep buying Treasuries until the printing presses overheat and shut down. They have the ability and the authority to print as much money as they want, and they're gonna' keep the presses running hot until non-farm payrolls stop declining.

What happened to your use of "will" - now it's "may". Smart choice. It may rain tomorrow as well, and we may get earthquakes in California. Then again, it may not.

Was quite surprised to see the pound sterling shoot up against the dollar, although I doubt anything drastic will happen regarding the currency movements.

At least not in the UK, since it's not exactly like the mess Gordon Brown can sort out the recession here.

Yep, Aussie dollar's up against the US dollar, too...

...Suits me....Levels up the playing field a bit....I'm, sick of paying 30%-40% more for my domain purchases on the A$/US$ exchange rate...

What is it that you are predicting again? A complete and total crash of the dollar, correct? So essentially the end of the United States as we know it, along with an economic crisis unlike the country has ever seen before? Complete and total financial distruction? And when is this suppose to happen?

You are banking on this all happening of course right? You're going to get rich off of it yes? Gold coins and comic books right? :D

I'll trade you the first issue of Heavy Metal from 1977 for two loaves of bread :D
We're still just about using currency in the UK. So I'll trade you £29,894,194.51 (hyper inflation has set in..) for that Heavy Metal from 1977. Deal?
