* This Is a Paid Sticky Thread *

KISS ("Keep It Short and Simple" or "Keep It Simple, Stupid", whatever floats your boat), this what Auctionpus.com is all about. This site won't clean your house, wash your dishes or give you a Thai massage: it's just an octopus which will point at 8 auctions each and every day as of this point. That's it. Nothing more, nothing less.

8 auctions per day, low and no reserves. By limiting ourselves to 8 auctions per day, we're able to focus on quality and at the end of the day, this is our #1 goal: giving people who own domains which actually have inherent value the opportunity to liquidate and, at the same time, giving investors a chance to buy great domains at reseller prices.

Batch #1

Our first auction started today and will end on Monday at 2 PM EST. Since it's the first auction (even though we've tested the script like maniacs, playing it safe doesn't hurt), we are making an exception but after this one, we will be auctioning 8 domains each and every day (the first auction of each week will start on Monday at 2 PM EST and end on Tuesday at 2 PM EST, the second auction of each week will start on Tuesday at 2 PM EST and end on Wednesday at 2 PM EST etc.). In other words, each auction will end at 2 PM EST.

Here are the 8 domains which are being auctioned as a part of our first batch, all of them at NO RESERVE and with a starting bid of $1 (no, it's not a typo):

Flannels.net

A one-word category killer product name dot net with 33,100 exact match global monthly searches and 110,000 broad global monthly searches: need we say more?

PAXE.com

A great CVCV dot com domain which has been registered back in 2010: an amazing choice for a Web 2.0 business!

Forum.im

The best possible domain for an Internet Marketing forum (practically everyone refers to Internet Marketing as "IM", the extension definitely works in its favor) and as for the term "forum" with its 1,500,000 exact match global monthly searches and 124,000,000 global monthly searches, "huge" is an understatement!

PHP.mx

An excellent programming-related domain and since Mexico is the world's #10 economy, the possibilities are endless (this domain would be a dream come true for any programming company from Mexico, a lot of potential end users)!

SnookerBlog.com

SnookerBlog.com has "credibility" written all over it. It represents the best possible domain for a snooker-related blog and since we're talking about a sport with hundreds of millions of fans, you can easily earn a living just by developing and monetizing it!

AudioCabinet.com

With 8,100 exact match monthly searches and 60,500 global monthly searches as well as an estimated CPC of $1.73, it's a no-brainer: turn this baby into a minisite and watch those profits roll in!

SwallowFalls.com

This one's for all you geo domain lovers out there, we'll let the facts speak for themselves: 4,400 exact match monthly searches, 14,800 global monthly searches and an estimated average CPC of $1.04!

FunnyMistakes.com

With 3,600 exact match monthly searches and 27,100 global exact match monthly searches, we are convinced that you'll have a hard time finding a humor domain that will come close to this one on the market!

As of Monday, I will update this thread on a daily basis. If there's anything I can be of help with, PM me and I'll get back to you asap.

Happy Bidding!

Is the site down? Auctionplus.com goes to a Parked.com ppc page.

It's Auctionpus.com (as in Auctionpus/Octopus, that's the theme of the site, take a look and you'll see what I mean), not Auctionplus.com :)

The first set of 8 auctions has ended, set #2 started today at 2 PM EST and will end tomorrow at 2 PM EST, here are the 8 domains which are being auctioned (just like last time, all of them with a $1 starting bid and NO RESERVE):

Phobias.net

Amazing category killer one-word dot net domain registered back in January 1999, with 74,000 exact match global monthly searches and 368,000 broad global monthly searches.

CUXA.com

Premium CVCV dot com domain registered back in 2001 which receives a 3 figure number of hits per month.

HalfDolls.com

Premium two-word product name dot com domain registered back in 1998, with 12,100 exact match global monthly searches and 22,200 broad global monthly searches.

PureDrivel.com

An extremely catchy two-word dot com domain which would represent an excellent choice for a gossip website, a humor website or anything that has to do with funny rants.

PortablePiano.com

A two-word product name dot com which describes a product for which there will be more and more demand, with 3,600 exact match global monthly searches and 110,000 broad global monthly searches.

BusinessWeblog.com

The best possible domain for a business-related blog that money can buy at this point, we dare you to find a domain that comes close to BusinessWeblog.com on the market!

WoodbineBeach.com

We haven't forgotten about geo domainers: here's an excellent domain for your portfolio, with 4,400 exact match global monthly searches and 14,800 broad global monthly searches.

Apartamentos.mx

"Apartamentos" means "apartments" in Spanish and Apartamentos.es has been sold for $40,370 (DNJournal). Mexico represents the world's #10 economy, need we say more?

I appreciate your input Tim but we will definitely be sticking with the "octopus" theme. There are less than 5 hours left until today's 8 auctions end, you know what to do if you see something you like :)

If you don't mind, could you post the results of each auction in this thread, or on the site? I see no way to see past results on the page as it is. Thx!

Here are the 8 auctions which started today at 2 PM EST and will end tomorrow at 2 PM EST:

SDCard.net

An impressive exact match domain name with 6,120,000 broad global monthly searches and 368,000 exact match global monthly searches, a gem which is just waiting to dominate the 1st page of Google!

Brasieres.mx

The best Mexican domain on the market at this point. "Brasieres" is a Spanish word that means "bras". We're talking about a HUGE term and a billion dollar industry, need we say more?

TaguaNuts.com

Tagua nuts are used as an elephant ivory replacement and since there will be more and more elephant ivory interdictions in the future, tagua nuts obviously represent an extremely attractive alternative.

Aussprache.com

Premium one-word German dot com domain. "Aussprache" means "debate", "talk" or "pronounciation", depending on how the word is used.

ShetlandHorses.com

A domain name with a lot of potential end users. Everyone knows how expensive anything related to horses is and that alone says it all, definitely a domain with "buy and hold" value.

CanadianFlights.com

Registered back in 1999, this gem is just waiting to be picked up by a Canadian airline or monetized as a ticket booking website. The term "Canadian flights" has 22,200 broad global monthly searches, 2,400 exact match monthly searches and an average CPC of $1.76.

ColorfulWallpapers.com

Wallpapers have always been extremely popular and you just can't go wrong with this domain, we'll let its 6,600 exact match global monthly searches and its 14,800 broad global monthly searches do all of the talking.

ForumPosts.com

This much is certain: forums have been and will continue to be extremely popular. With its 60,500 broad global monthly searches and 6,600 exact match global monthly searches, this domain represents the best possible choice if you are interested in offering forum posting and/or maintenance services.

A friend.

Yes. I think so. "PUS" is undesirable in medical terms.

Got AuctionSense.com which might suite you better.

Simplicity taken to the extreme or even to the absurd is actually my main selling point. I'll pick quality domains, list them at no or low reserve and let the market do the rest. Each and every day. Checking out the domains will take less than a minute (literally) and, as previously mentioned: if you see something you like, take action and if not, move on and come back tomorrow :)

The Auctionpus.com Team BUSTED the First Fraudster

Today, someone signed up for an account and placed bids on all auctions. Naturally, we were worried and tried to call him several times. Nothing. His email account wasn’t valid either. Needless to say, his ass is banned and bids deleted. Want to find out what we KNOW happened?

A Sabotage Attempt

By someone who hates our guts. Who would that be? We don’t know for sure but there aren’t a lot of possibilities. Motive, motive, motive. That says it all. What this idiot doesn’t know is that we’re monitoring everything 24/7 and, whenever there’s something even remotely suspicious, we’ll pick up the phone and call that bidder for verification purposes.

Dear Fraudsters, We Know Something You Don’t

If you’re smart, you’ve already figured out what I mean. If not, try to pull another stunt like this and you’ll find out the hard way.

That's the reason all bidders should be by telephone verification, just to confirm who they are etc,you will always get some clown to try to bring you down.........

In theory, it all sounds great but a simple telephone verification system is basically useless because anyone can get through, the only way to figure out if someone is here to cause problems or not is to give that person a call, talk to him or her and let your intuition do its thing IMO. It's kind of a combination between an exact science and art. We always prefer to play it safe by assuming that everyone is out to get us, monitoring the site 24/7 definitely can't hurt and that's exactly what we're doing.
