ive been tossing around the idea of developing my domain Renters.com, to follow the same basic model as Renters.ca or Rent.com, where property owners looking for renters can list their apartments or condos and renters can search for locations in their area. In addition, Id have a feature where people could rent other things like videos, or houses, or cars, or random types of goods such as those.

Id be curious to hear what people think of this idea, and whether I can implement it affordably. I dont do any coding, so id be paying someone else to develop the databases or whatever.

I think it is a good idea ... but personally I stick with the apartment, condo's, and housing idea. I wouldnt throw in videos or cars etc ... because it would become a nightmare to manage properly. However adding in cabin rentals, rv lot rentals, chalets etc ... would be a nice addition to round out a nice "property" rental site.

Good luck!

Great idea, but I would stick with housing aspect, although renter insurance and movers links might add a little income

currently the PPC program we use has selected Tenant Screening links, which is a type of service i wasnt even aware that companies offered. much to my surprise, approximately 40% off the unique visitors click on those links, which i wouldnt have expected. then again im not sure i totally understand the traffic reports...
