Tm Question Regarding 3 Letter Domain

I am planning on buying a short domain (dot com)
There is no trademark on it according to the USPTO.gov website (abandonded in 2008)
But there is a famous musician who is well known in the USA and internationally who has that name.
On Estibot it says that it is a generic name used by Eastern europeans.
I am planning to auction it off
Can I get into trouble if I do?

I also have contacted a legal expert
I just wanted some feedback from people from their experiences.

I hope your legal expert has an LLM or the minimum of JD behind their name and willing to back up their word. Not just a Joe Shmoe with a few law classes under his belt or someone who failed the Bar, but still knows it all. Good advice can go along way and bad advice can too. Good luck!
