Eventually these TRAFFIC conventions will burn themselves out, if they continue to have them so close together.

$12 Million dollars in sales last time alone
Increasing number of attendees/sell out shows
Great information/speakers/connections
Rising prices and PPC revenue
Most every major sponsor will be in attendance
Everything seems to spell one thing....growth

Oh yeah and then there is Candice Michelle! :-#:

I'll be there. Should be fun.

Thanks for the info. ;)

I believe Moniker usually realease auction list about a month before live auction.
The thing is I need to see the list so I can keep on market my names elsewhere if my names are not on the list.

Hmmmm..... :?:

I believe that Moniker is finalizing the domain list by tomorrow. I got an email asking me to lower my reserve on one name about two weeks ago.

we will have the preliminary list posted on Monday with some great industry killer names. and the silent is looking awesome as well. we will have more phone bidders and online bidding as well as the 500 in attendance at this one so should be fun.

It wouldn't be a convention without a beautiful Woman like her, if any Woman can make a guy drool over his keyboard and burn out his laptop, it would be Candice.

BTW, I mentioned "eventually" I think these conventions are a great thing for the industry, but having them so close together could have a "Burn out" effect...Just my opinion.

I hope there's no burnout. I got an email from Moniker recently soliciting domains for their auctions. Never responded until today. Had a nice conversation with Mike M. Too late to submit anything for Miami, but he said they have more auctions in the offing.

Group rate closed out yesterday on the hotel.

If you have a AAA membership, use it. With it you can obtain the next level room at $24 less per night than the group rate.

Might even be worth it to pick up a membership if you go the distance. I believe the membership rate is around $50 per year. If you stay 4 nights...

You do the math.

I had never heard of her before. Just visited her website, they did a great job, beautiful site.

Sorry she wont have a great conference, as i wont be attending.

Instead she will have Rick in his Hawaiian shirt, telling her how great he is.

How many of you have names in the live auction?....The criteria seems to be getting tougher.

Can't wait to see the list

See the Master List at http://marketplacepro.moniker.com/files/Master_Auction_Domain_List_TFL07.xls

It isn't separated by Live versus Silent yet. There is some, well, um, interesting names that seem to have made it to the list. Hopefully, they are destined for Silent as they aren't worth the reg fee and probably belong to someone's brother-in-law. Yet I also see some truly nice names in the list that have Live potential and could command a nice chunk of change. Unfortunately, they are not mine as my moneymakers never get selected. :(

I see at least three of my names on that list. Hopefully, they will send an email soon so I don't have to look through the entire list.

Traffic could have this show every DAY and not burn it out!
I'm looking forward to another record setting show and priceless networking.

Looks like they really tried to focus on those with lower reserves this time. Meaning even if you submitted a Generic but had a strong reserve it might not have made it. But I did notice some of my "lessor" names with lower reserves made it.

cotton.com is listed for only $10,001 - $25,000? I wonder what it will be bid up to :?:

Who is attending the Traffic conference in Miami in October?

I'm looking forward it.

DCG,
Are you going to attend?

I will be attending and speaking on two panels.

As always I look forward to these shows!

If anyone wants to meet for drinks, I am open to that.
