In the UK, there are a lot of .tv domains making their way into television adverts and as email addresses for daytime television programmes. As expected. I really am surprised anyone could ever doubt the obvious attraction of .TV domains. You'll soon see them turning up everywhere! There are lots of good $50 names out there too. Remember, .com names were pricey when they first appeared - the price will probably drop when all the good names have gone - as with .com.
.TV means Tuvalu? Pah! How utterly, utterly ridiculous. But, in a similar vein, LASER : Light Amplification by the Stimulated Emission of Radiation.
It is so obvious that .TV will be massive - I mean, how obvious does it need to be? There is no way internet television stations, movie channels, sports networks, news networks etc could pass up the opportunity to market themselves under the .tv domain. That would be absurd! News.tv and sports.tv have recently been removed from the .TV site - they are under negotiation (the list price was $1000,000 for news.tv and something like $500,000 for sports.tv. This confirms that some big media guy somewhere thinks those names are catchy as hell!
You don't need to spend a fortune to make shed loads of cash in .TV domains in 5-10 years. All you need to do is register some of the $50 domains now - you'd be surprised how many good ones there are out there for $50. I have already made a few thousand selling .tv domains.
This is the sort of thing you shouldn't even need to think about.
