What is an .sr name and why would you want to reg one?

I was going to register 1 domain when they first started because they are so expensive..
RV.SR was available..funny..for some reason the order wouldnt go through..few hours later it was gone ! LOL

i tried to reg. i.info because it was "available" - ended up with errors........just thought i would try anyway

I.Info.. that would have been cool to show off for a couple days before they yanked it from you !

well i got vr.bz ..........virtual reality domain.

If you really want .sr keep an eye on the Dotster web site. We are often permitted by the .sr registry to offer heavily discounted pricing.

Trent:

If you are still interested we have just started offering .sr at the lowest price to date: $49.95 for one year. Still pricey but a lot less than the $299 standard pricing.

The registry has told us to go with the promotion for a week but they could change their mind and pull it at any time.

Hope you get some good ones ;)

Mark, how easy is it to transfer a .sr domain? Can it also be pushed to another account?

(you are right, there are some great names available)

I just checked and have been told that you can easily push it to another Dotster account. For transferring to a different registrar it may be trickier as not all registrars support .sr.
