you're wasting your time.. CHEESEBURGER.MOBI says it all and it's a great summary of the "leaders" emerging in the space.. now I know you are jealous like me, so the let me get DOUBLECHEESEBURGER.MOBI and you take TRIPLECHEESEBURGER.MOBI ok?

Maroulis, I enjoy watching your ignorance & immature behavior, it's very entertaining. You obviously are an uneducated individual who cannot engage in an intellectual debate.....now you resort to childish retorts.

Fine.

Have fun in your state of denial.

Keep acting like a bratty, naive teenager.

Stay tuned my friends......

dotmobi RFP Allocations.
March TRAFFIC.
More MAJOR $xxx,xxx dotmobi sales.
More Fortune 1000 companies launching .mobi sites onto the Mobile Web
and increased bratty behavior, naysaying, lying & condescension by the vocal AntiMobi gang.

Remember, success breeds critics & envy.

I'm excited!

Michael

I'm still here. My views on the extension haven't changed, a few high priced sales amongst resellers doesn't = success. You get a few high priced sales with any new TLD launch, the same happened with .EU and look where it is that now.

For those of you who want to play "follow the leader" and pay tens of thousands of dollars for a new extension that sounds crap and isn't needed – go for it. Reality is that .mobi is a very new extension and its future is very much yet to be determined.

I admire those early .mobi investors who paid $30 or whatever to to register a strong generic and then flipped for big profits, those people took advantage of the hype, the rest of you are just falling for it :-)

And, there are several more .mobi examples with no redirects.

Is there a cure for .mobi fever?

You raise one valid point.
Just because resellers/speculators spend large amounts on purchases does not make the ext automatically valuable. But it could mean that some people have money to burn ;)

Second point: large purchases are not surprising for a newly-born TLD
I'm sure that we would have witnessed similar sales with .eu if the premium names had been reserved and put to auction.

Third point: I believe that too many domainers have interpreted the huge purchase of flowers.mobi as a vote of confidence for .mobi.
Rick Schwartz has made a few excellent posts to explain his strategy and clarify his thinking, still I am not sure everyone got the message.

Finally my favorite quote for 2006 is:

.mobi will be bigger than .com

IMO this is DENIAL :)

where did all the mobi haters go?

theyre off buying mobis

Hi Vision,
i ripped that list & posted here yesterday:
http://www.dnforum.com/showthread.php?t=205483

more added too.
a lot of us are developing at moment & will add some presently.
please, if you find any on your travels, please add
cheers
Pred :)
Nice one Predmaster!
You know it makes sense
Some people will regret not registering any .mobi's imo.
I know I won't regret registering mine! Even if mobi doesn't take off, I still have some nice names for development which I can brand as being mobile only sites. The type of names I have are for people on the go so I could not think of a better extension for them.

Exactly IDName.

Yes I have seen many .mobi sites that have no .com or related website. They are just sites which are designed for the mobile user in mind.

I dont know why they wrote so many bad things. It hurt personally. There are so many potential buyers and companies looking at our posts. We have prevailed! "WE" made .mobi succeed. We have proved that .mobi has potential. I think that we as a group who invested has helped increase the value of .mobi. Dont you think?

Thank you all for being there supporting me and other investors of .mobi

So, where are we going to have our 1st annual .mobi investment meeting? hahahaha!

What a Laugh !

Hey man thats a quality post !

You obviously are an uneducated individual who cannot engage in an intellectual debate.....now you resort to childish retorts.

If you're definition of uneducated is someone with a graduate and two post-graduate degrees than that's me for sure. 7 years in Telco business dealing with CxO level Carriers (you know the very ones that invested in .mobi) then it's also me.. Published papers for 3G Americas then it's also me... I just can't handle being ignorant and uneducated...

Now, on the other hand if you consider intellectual debate, the brainwashing and the mentioning of CHEESEBURGER.MOBI than you're right I'll pass....

I enjoy reading your posts so much, that I wake up in agony every day rushing to my PC to see what it is you've responded so the admiration is very equal.

PS Duck - my GOBI harvester produced a few more. RIBS.MOBI, CHEESECAKE.MOBI, OLIVEOIL.MOBI and TRIPLEVENTICINAMMONDOLCELATTE.MOBI (although the last one might have a TM issue with starbucks) :( DNF$ appreciated if you register

Maybe you should change your name to Nostradamus, since you have this canning ability to predict the future.. Care to SUBSTANTIATE some of your BS propaganda?

Hey man qualifications are o.k but its the cash that counts man,i see so many friends waste their life at uni then get a job on the same money i was 6-7 years ago, what a waste, of course you do get some who go on to make big bucks in their profession but the true way of making wealth is for people to generate the cash for you the more the richer !

I almost hesitate to reply to this thread. I think a lot of good points have been made, reseller to reseller price increases do not equal success. Yes some major players are on board but why ? Trademark protection or simply something a company has to do to look like its hip and mobile. The truth being its all smoke and mirrors. The past tells us as the years pass this was another money grab and .mobi will go way of the .eu and .info . Look at the list of release prices 2-4 yrs ago and you'll see they would struggle to break even today while the real deals double and triple annually. Do I have faith in .mobi ? Market anything hard enough and sure, make it so .com is not an option on a cell and sure... Highly unlikely senarios. The .mobi has seen action based on many things, a track record and secure option is not one of them.

I'm still waiting for them to release king.mobi, they tag is as premium name good one ha!

For the time being, I'm parking my www.gimmick.mobi
Hopefully gimmick directory in mobile phone.

And buying .mobi, reseller price only.

I'm developing my
www.hardworking.com/mobi/ or
www.hardworking.com/wap/

for mobile access.

Business is good ... next is .wap extension haha more domains to sell.

I do have one question for those who chose not to invest in .mobi, disbelievers etc.

Why do .mobi's continue to change hands for such high prices? Why?
