I noticed a couple of months ago, Yahoo went ape-sh*t with my credit card and started renewing my domains at $35 a pop automatically. I called, and tried to remove this "feature" to no avail. The charges kept coming, so I canceled my credit card.

Yahoo sends me daily reminders telling me to "update my credit card" or my account will be suspended. They did. They also took control of one of my domains that I paid for until the end of 2009. Are registars allowed to do this?

Why do they need my credit card if I don't intend to renew? How can they claim control over something they didn't pay for. Is there a way to complain to ICANN?

You must have turned the auto-renew feature on.

I had many problems when I bought a few domains from Yahoo. They have a very bad domain control panel, and the worst customer support of any domain registrar I have dealt with. It took 2 weeks just to get a response when I had a "domain emergency." To say I would very disappointed, would be an understatement.

DO NOT BUY DOMAINS FROM YAHOO, I AGREE!!!!
