Yellow Pages is increasing their online presence (thanks to DomainAssets.ca newsletter for pointing out this news).

YP is buying:

the 411.ca directory
an ownership stake in 411 Local Search Corp
ClearSky Media Inc. (ClearSky is the owner of RedFlagDeals.com, Price Canada.com and Scarlett Lounge)

Not so much a domain news story, but shows YP is serious about having an online Canadian presence.

Yellowpages.ca has been buying .ca domains for close to 10 years now. i.e. Maps.ca. They purchased a large group of domains for well over $2,000,000 from a Canadian group back in 2000 http://www.emall.ca/html/media_ts.asp
