Thank you Viajaya!

Thank you for all the Domaining knowledge that you share in this Forum . I'm truly thinking that most of people who criticized this amazing 3d Treads are the PAST Life of DOMAINING Industry.
Yes it is. I wish they won't be Late Followers all their life...
I won't tell their nick names.. but they know who they are. They used to talk a lot and criticize a lot because they think their own failure are a general knowledge...
If you listen to them.. you may think that they should succeed first. Long story short.. what they are doing is just condescension.

Thank you 3d Guys!

Actually the "late followers" were the ones regging mediocre 3D domains in 2010.

It has been probably 6 weeks since I visited this thread and OH HOW ATTITUDES HAVE CHANGED !!!!

I got whipped, beaten, ostricized and given lectures by some in here about 3D domains and how they would not be of any REAL VALUE.

In taking the blinkers off hopefully these people will realize that 3D is NOT JUST ABOUT TELEVISION - 3D Computers (including Laptops), 3D Cameras and 3D Phones will be in stores in 2011. So maybe as a novice domainer who has confidence in the value of 3D I could be wrong in suggesting that some of these names will be quite valuable - when the 3D market MATURES - names like 3Dcomputers3D dotcom (3Dcomputers is owned by a company in the U.K. who have had it for many years, their business is in hitech computer development, nothing to do with consumer products) - and someone has 3Dcomputers - so I figure that the second best 3D consumer products name for a computer site still available is 3Dcomputers3D dotcom. Yes / No, who has an opinion? (yes I own it). So if 3D Computers will be available how valuable will names related to 3D Monitors and Screens and Graphics Cards (yes I have those covered as well, and laptops, and cameras and camcorders).

There are posts in here about ESPN and 3D - they weren't interested in some of my 3D Sports names when I approached them 2 months ago however as much as they may be the biggest they are not the only sports network around. Taking 3D Computers into account then there will be HUGE audiences online to watch 3D Sport, whether live streaming or watching highlights, replays etc - that is where the big money will be, not cable - some content will be free but just like cable many computer sports sites will also have pay for view - no arguements about what cannel to watch on TV - see your favourite sports in 3D on your computer. I think 3DSportsPortal will be another good name for me down the track a bit.

Stores here in Australia cannot get enough stock of 3D Televisions and there is no bloody content to watch bar a few movies on DVD !!! It is an enormous market out there when the blinkers are off. Well I think so anyway, that's why I have about 900 or so 3D "consumer products" names. There was a stampede to Apple stores recently when the new iphone was released - can you imagine the enormity of the stampede when iphone (and others) are available with a 3D screen??

Anyway, I have said enough for now - Vijaya, I have commented to you before, I like some of your 3D names and your attitude (great minds think alike), your names will make you some nice money soon. (p.s. I have 3DTVHomeTheater 3DHomeTheaterFHD , 3DMoviesFHD, 3DMoviesBluray etc etc all dotcoms :)

cheers,
Mike

---------- Post added at 03:30 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:16 PM ----------

Vijaya, good to see you have 3DMonitor.co.uk. 3D Computers will be HUGE, bigger than 3D Television - some are already in production (smaller specialized companies - the big companies are not far behind). So any names you can get (make up) for computers, peripherals etc will make money (same goes for cameras, camcorders, phones etc) - I have accumulated about 900 or so in dotcoms and about 600 in dot com.au over the past 3 months so I reckon I am now 3D EXHAUSTED :)
My advice for what it is worth is for anyone who has any grain of entrenpreneur in him or her to acquire (create) as many 3D names as you can and hold on to them for about a year or so by which time you will have companies chasing you.

Keep an eye out for dropped domains as well - I picked up CELL3D dotcom last week for USD80 - how many 3D CELL PHONES will be sold Globally?

So Vijaya - Onwards and Upwards

cheers, Mike

p.s. have a look at the FOX below - it is one of my sites - it will give you an idea of the confidence I have in 3D - if you navigate around properly you will also see that I have the fox in co.uk

Nice post Mike, I tend to agree with you reagrding where 3D is going, it wont be just movies/TV like it is now, notebooks, Laptops, netbooks, Ipads, Phones, Sport, Billlboards, Advertising, Training and Education, it will move into all sorts of areas I believe, as to what extent, Im not sure??

Lets hope we all benefit from this but the important thing is "patience"...I cant believe there are peope selling 3D names now, thats insane when the the technology has only just been made available.

BTW, where are you in Oz?

Just had a 3K offer on the first name in my sig, what would you counter with? This is a "big" end-user, not a reseller?

I know what I will be doing, but would just like some opinions from all of you.

Thanks

I just sold a .ca 3D domain for high $xxxx. If it is your "channel" domain, don't let that one go for any less than five figures.

I've actually gotten a couple offers on the 4 3D domain names I have, which are:

3DCableChannels.com
3DNetworkTelevision.com
3DCableTelevision.com
3DCableNetworks.com

Now, I countered back to them for the lot with a price in the low $xx,xxx, and they told me that the domains I had are only worth about $500 each at most. I think they're worth at LEAST $x,xxx each.

I don't think anyone knows the true value of 3D names just yet - the market needs to mature further however the non believers are all saying they are of little value. The problem is that 3D names have no statistical history for the assessment criteria so lose big points there and the names include a numeral so definitely lose mega points for that - based on the current accepted assessment criteria for a domain name's value. The automated valuation sites are worthless in assessing 3D domains and even actual real live person domain brokers can only offer a valuation based on the same information available to all of us hence their expert manual valuation will be essentially nothing more than their personal perceptions.

As the 3D market matures the market itself will determine the true value of the names. For mine (I own over 1500 3D names) I have faith that 3D will become a viable entertainment medium and hence some 3D names will become very valuable just as non 3D entertainment names have become.

cheers,

monoco90 - I think all the names you have, except those with the hyphen, are of future value even if some are long - the long ones are descriptive of the article so very difficult to shorten and still make sense. Some will be very valuable, 3DVisionGlasses and 3DDigitalCamcorder and 3DFlatPanelTV in particular, in my opinion.

p.s. I agree with you, I too have been absent from this thread for a couple of months and in that time it seems there are less 3D naysayers and more 3D optimists having their say.

I really look forward to seeing this thread in about 9 months time (after the geastation period :) )

Bought it.

Really apart from tv, games or movies the other biggie is laptops, phones, sports, computers in general. Id say its a top 10 name give or take, only time will tell I suppose. Really the top name is the only 3Dblank.com for that specific market, period. The key is owning the best or most likely to develope market like laptops, phones, tv's movies etc.

Let me see the best of the best would be something close to this...

3d
3dtv
3dmovie(s)
3dgame(s)
3dphone(s)
3dglasses
3dlaptop(s)
3dsports
etc
