Just sold a 3-word .com related to 3D printing for $2,xxx. Hand-reg'd it last year. Good luck to everyone else with 3D names.

Just a quick question. Four years ago I stated that the best 3D names were long gone (regged prior to 2006). In fact the highest-selling 3D names over the last few years appear to have been regged many years prior to 2006. So because of my belief that there were no longer any good 3D names, I started regging "S3D" names, which is, technically, the correct designation and one used in many countries outside the US.

"S3D" stands for "stereoscopic 3D". It can also stand for "super 3D" when companies take up trying to differentiate their 3D products from their rivals.

Do you think "S3D" will ever have the same clout as "3D"?

Nope, I don't think S3D will ever take off, I don't think 3D is even taking off at the moment with all 3D TV Channels closing down

3D Printing is a different story though

Oh well. And I was hoping that some of my names, S3DPrinting.com, S3DPrinter.com, S3DPrinters.com, S3DModeling.com, S3DSoftware.com and about 20 others would be worth something.

Live and learn.

Thanks.
