Hi

I am a newbie to the domain buisness and have only known of the buisness since feb this year have been on a ever increasing learning curve. As a student i did not have a big budget and as a result had to register domains as i could not afford to buy.
Over the last five months i have been able to register over 100 domains but with my current financial situation(student tuition fees) i cannot afford to renew more than 20% of my portfolio. So i would be greatful if i could have some help to find the best names to renew or a name or two that i could sell to help pay for the renewal of others.
I would also be greatful for comments as to which domains are useless and do not have a hope in hell and that i should let expire.

All the .com i would let expire except for live-clips, celebritiesstyle, and puremusiclive. Even those 3 names arent that great. I would let all the .co.uk expire except for puremusiclive, pc360, share-it, and organicfreshfood. I would also let your .net expire. I dont know about the .eu. Instead of letting all those names expire first try listing them in an auction on this forum for extremely cheap like starting at $1 or something and see if you can recover some more money that way.

Thanx for the response, my friends were not convinced by the quality either.
Would love to have some views on the .eu, not for imediate sell on value but to renew and for future value in 3-5 years.

Any value for portfolio as a whole.

My first piece of advice is NEVER seek guidance on whether to renew or drop a name from anyone on these forum sites, although most on these sites are well spirited no one has the credentials to give professional advice.
Aside from that the advice given to you to drop names may be coming from someone anxious to pick the same upon drop.
I am not qualified to give you advice on the value or quality of your names but I applaud your creativity and will suggest that you try parking your names with someone like SEDO to give you a better gauge and possible parking revenue to cover your overhead.

oxcell is correct that people might tell you to drop a name just so they can grab it but in this case I really do think you should let those drop.

Thanx for the advice OXCELL, i have parked the domains at sedo for a while but when i bought the .eu and some others i moved 90 or so domains to traffic parking.

Still looking for a value for the portfolio as a whole.

What do you think about selling some of the domains on ebay? Are they worth the effot?
