Hi,

I acquired this great URL a few years ago, when the market was very low. It was an affiliate site for some time, making around £1500 per year. It is now a daughter site of www.drgadget.co.uk ,does generate sales for me (dont want to disclose that figure here). Gets around 100 ave unique visits per day, and 500-800+ in Nov/Dec haven’t really advertised the URL.

I was curious to what you think is a fair price now, just for the URL with no site? I probably wont sell but its nice to get an idea of value.

Thanks in advance.

Regards

Steve

Thanks,

I will definately not be selling the URL :-) . It is strange that a focussed one word URL that has generated £1500 ($2500) of income 2002/2003 is only valued at $500, oh well thanks anyway. But I guess thats a good generic figure for a domain that gets 100 uniques per day.

I had it independently valued at £10,000 , but I understand a domain is only worth what somebody is willing to pay. Its probably more valuable to one of my UK competitors or a UK company starting out selling gifts and gadget.

Not sure if there are any other experienced "PEERS" on here who wish to comment?

Regards

Steve

Your original post says
It was an affiliate site for some time, making around £1500 per year.
This indicates that it is no longer making that money, nor is it used as an affiliate site.
This being the case it is bound to affect the value of the domain alone.
"Gadgets" is the more popular search word but the singular form could be good for an end user selling products that could loosely be called gadgets.

Gadgets would definately be preferable, but I still think this one could bring $4,000 at least
