From what I understand, which isn't much, I would think you could refer to it either way and people would understand what you are talking about, but I do not play the game nor am I familiar with the game or the culture, so please if anyone could shed some light on this topic, I am all ears. In regards to value, I would think australianfootball would be more valuable than australianrulesfootball - Google search and available ext. leads me to believe this.
