Hmm..
i thought about if there is a way to scan all domains BuyDomains.com has for sale on their site and then bulk check the whois to see expiration date.I mean they have almost 8000 names - can't imagine they gonna renew them all just in time.
Ok i know what to use for bulkcheck the whois - a softnik software; but how to copy their list?
Any ideas?

On there site, they advertise to have 85,000 domains.
Either way, 8k or 85k...I am in agreement with you.
With that many domains, I am sure that at least one really good domain a day drops from there clutches.

[Edit]
Nevermind

Beatz, are you talking about a list of expired domains or a list of domains that are registered and you want to know when they expire?

Well the buydomains.com list with all their names they sell in a nice .txt file or similar.
Even better a list with all the buydomains.com expiring names.
Even more better a list with all the buydomains expiring names that are dictionary or generic.

Am i asking for too much? :D

On a mission to collect all of them. Have 5000+ at the moment I think but not sure if they are expiring/expired. Have to format them properly also but that won't be a problem. Not sure if I can bulk whois them just yet as well. Anyone want to trade them for something if things go well?

<EDIT> is my english getting bad or what? :D </EDIT>
<EDIT2> List went up to 20000++ but it's still "raw" data... By the way, it is categorized so there may be some repeats between each categories...</EDIT2>

Theres a quick way to do this.

Sign up to Verisign for access to the .com zone file

grep the zone for the nameserver they use for their domains.

Job done.

BUT, buydomains sell a lot of domains so their renewal bill should be a small percentage of their sales revenue. They should easily be able to afford to renew all their domains - and any they don't may be let go of for a reason.

If anyone interested I could rip the whole thing - but would give me at least 2-3 hrs work -

@safesys

Completed the list, total file size is 694kb all categorized. Anyone interested in trading it for something?

[edit] just did a count, 130164 domain names from all categories, but with repeats so the number really isn't accurate

They own quite a number of good domain names...[/edit]

I thought Verisign has to approve first?

With which kind of software can list like that be ripped from websites like buydomains.com? I mean, C&P must take ages?
