PhoenixHotels.us was registered the day .US went live in April. Most other Major City Hotels.us also seem to be gone.

I was once inspired to register "shop" domains and got about a hundred of them (at $13.50 a crack in those days!)

I had shopfresno.com, shophispano.com, shopgrandcanyon.com, shopmacon.com, etc. It was insane. I somehow thought I could market these to each city's chamber of commerce, malls, etc.

Long story short, after getting absolutely no bites whatsoever, when the time came to renew them I put the lot up on ebay and got less that 10 cents on the dollar for what I paid.

I learned my lesson, and now I share my wisdom with you.
