Just got an offer for this one, but I really have no idea what it's worth.

So thought I'd ask, how much do you think it's worth?

Dictionary .com with 23 mill google results, but I can't think of many development uses. I'd say this one is worth somewhere around $1,5k.

I have demostrated.com for sale in here and no bids at $1000 so I think it's safe to say that the -ed hurt the domain. The value in here would be $xxx to low $x,xxx. Outside here much more. The market in here can be tough on the seller.

Thanks to all who appraised it (and anyone else who'd like to add other appraisals). It's very helpful for me in evaluating this offer.

I can't give an accurate value, but I would think that crushed would definitely be more valuable than demonstrated. Crushed can connote several different things relating to dating, sports, drinking even...it's even got a hipper sound to it. Much more brandable IMO.

I agree with bdjuf on more than $1,xxx reseller. I would probably go closer to mid $x,xxx on this name, too.

You may be looking at someone who is a Denver Broncos fan, known as the Orange Crush.

If I was to develop it, potentially a funny vid site of couples' breakups...you know, crushed.com.

One of the biggest vids that got so much notoriety and press was a set-up (but fake) break up between a guy and a chick at University of North Carolina in front of about 3000 students. Very funny stuff. Got coverage in hundreds of sites and front page on sites like MSNBC.com, CNN.com. And the coverage continued for days after when it came out it was a set up.

This had everyone convinced especially being on Valentine's Day.

Just a thought regarding usage.

I think a quality generic .com like this with many possible applications would be more than $1.5K. Even to a box crushing (paper) or metals or car recycling company.

By the way, here's the vid:

Imagine a site of actual or staged breakups like this or cat fights.

In case anyone is curious, I decided to take the offer I received for it. I placed a higher value on it than most appraisals here, but so did the buyer, so I think we're both happy with the price.

buyer makes offer + seller accepts offer = happiness x 2.

Looks like a good formula for success.

I was about to say the same thing... you can't compare the two, crushed is MUCH more valuable.
