Fredo said:Is the pre-reg open to everyone (EU citizens) or only open to companies applying for the sunrise period ? Can I pre-reg a domain for after the 2 sunrise periods ?

And i am afraid that after i finish my dot eu, my domains will be deleted with notification.SO a waste of money.
dotDan said:So if I register a company, say ExampleCompany in EU, I can get ec.eu? If so, I'll soon be a European company.
Really good news for me.hi 1x1,
you are not wasting money, you can easily setup a european contact yourself. it cost about u$ 100 to setup a company in UK. This company can be the holder for all your domains. In the Eurid meetings on ICANN they said that this is leagal. If the U$ 100 is to much for you find an agreement with a domainer from europe in this forum.

But i think i cannot.
i'v never been to UK and i don't know how to do so.
matt247 said:Just to confirm,
at the moment is it not at all possible to register any .eu name unless it is for a company i.e a trade mark?
I typed in socks.eu into an acredited domain site and it says there is only a one off 'no sunrise' fee, does this mean I could register it and own it completely?
that means the domain is already taken for the landrush.
matt247 said:It said that it is available for the one off 'queue' fee, I should have made myself clearer. Is there any way to get an idea of what has already been reserved?
Freddy@EuroDNS said:sorry, no.
thats not possible....

Have the same problem.so Fredo, say I want to start a site at tape.eu. Even if I live in the US and have no company by that name, I can apply for it in the no-sunrise period?
